I hate fair weather fans. If you're happy you didnt get tickets this year because of how the team performed then you dont deserve to be there acting like you have been a fan of the Yotes all your life when they do start winning. Win or lose we need to support them the same no matter how difficult that can be. I will also be at the last 2 games olifer as thats what we should be doing as "Fans". I'm fine with a negative outlook on the current situation because sometimes thats the only type of attitudes that create change but full support no matter what is needed. I also would love to see Glenn get a new staff and have one more year at it. I truly believe Glenn is not the problem. And saying that you're tired of excuses about facilities etc and just want change is BS. Tell that to the kids choosing NDSU and other schools with better facilities or the programs that have larger coaching staffs to build a program and recruit. They are not excuses but rather legit reasons change has not happened and until the university puts money into the program you could get Urban Meyer as a coach its still going to be very difficult to compete against schools with the large coaching staffs and facilities. All coaching salaries are on the state of South Dakota's website. I would encourage you to look at them compared to SDSU's. Glenn is paid significantly less than other head coaches. The assistant's at USD are paid almost identical salaries as SDSU. the only differnece is SDSU has a lot more assistants. It's not unreasonable to expect we could hire quality assistants from within the midwest when we are paying assistants the same as other schools. unless we pay another 80k-100k we will not find a better head coach than Glenn. Just not possible. Clean house with the assistants except Petrino as I think he has done a really good job with what he has and deserves to stay. Keep Glenn (if he even wants to stay at this point)as he is the best option for what we are currently willing to spend. If we want to be good everyone needs to be getting on the university to financially support the program for the first time in 40 years. It's going to happen from the top down. the best coach in the world cannot overcome the obstacles currently in place for coach Glenn. If you are referring to me as a fair weather fan I will just say this. From 1991-2013 (which is 23 years by my last count)I showed up at the games with no questions asked and so I think that kind of entitles me a little extra slack when it comes to calling out fair weather fans. I sat through very tough years of programs that had very little life as far as being competitive. I don't want to hear about loyalty because I had it big time and had it when there were only 3 or 4 thousands butts in the seats back in the 90's. I think I am entitled to stay home as I see fit. I supported the athletic department with my money and showed my unwavering support but I have too many other things going on in life to simply show up anymore without needing to get something back from the program. I gave to USD for a long time, now I want something back in return and that is simply a competitive football team.

I think you must have been on the fan board in the 60's when USD went through 4 coaches in 4 years. You are entitled to nothing. Zero. Zilch. I played and have been a supporting fan for 40 years. and I'll be there Saturday. Go to Augie. Hell, I even had 3 Jacks fans private messaging me not to encourage you to be a Jacks fan. Just please go somewhere else. They don't need you. We have enough problems.

I think we should send him to U of Mary or Minot St. He fits in up there.

If Coyotefan gave some money to the Howling Pack he could come on here and say whatever he wanted as far as I'm concerned. I've met him and think he's a nice guy. BUT buying a few tickets here and there in the last few seasons does not qualify as "supporting the athletic department" with your money as he stated above. That is casual fan stuff right there. Yoteforever, USDlaw, Cousin Eddie, Yote53, and many others who have substantially committed their time, money, and professional expertise and abilities are ambassadors of USD and Coyote athletics. Those are the folks we need right now more than ever. Coyotefan, we need your passion and your ass in the stands, just pull your head out once in a while and you might enjoy the view. What we don't need is the constant negativity. I have faith in you, just like this football team, that there's still time to turn things around and go out with a bang.

I still respect all of the work you have put in coyotefan even if that is simply showing up to games. I am not in a place in life right now where I can donate 2k or 3K a year but show up to every single football and basketball game and get as many people as I can to come with me or get on sites like this etc. We still need you and want you there. I myself get negative about things the program or university have done in recent years but catch myself trying to find ways to funnel that into medians to make this thing work. If we always just agree with everything the university is doing and make everything positive when it is not, change will not happen or will take way longer than it should because those failures will be acceptable or tolerated. We just need to find a medium where the negativety is not destructive to the program and people that are always putting a positive spin on things come to the middle and demand changes in the areas needed.
