I’ll preface this statement by saying that I have been a supporter Joe Glenn and his coaches over the last three years; however, I think the Joe Glenn experiment has run its course. Obviously when the decision was made three years ago to hire Glenn there were visions of where the program should be today, but we’re not even close. I view it from the perspective of a former player and if I were a potential recruit, how could you commit to a program when the head coach could retire (for a second time) at anytime? If I were a recruit, I’d view Joe and his coaching staff as an interim solution and not being able to provide the stability you look for in a program.
It comes down to recruiting and Joe’s statement of, "We're not playing with the athletes that we're playing against" is quite telling.
At some point changes will be made and I hope that administration is willing to commit the resources ($$$$$) needed to make that transition.
Again, I like Joe, but something needs to change. Last Saturday was embarrassing.

It was also classy that Steigelemeir did not run up the score. He certainly could have scored 100 the way they were executing on offense so hats off to him. I didnt like to see SDSU fans throwing snowballs on the field towards the USD players. That was a very classless act. I heard from a very reliable source that one of those snowballs hit Joe as he was coming onto the field. Sounds like one of our staffers got a pic of the kid who threw it. Totally classless!

Last Saturday was embarrassing. If the Coyotes go another year without making some sort of change, then I think that will set the program back at least another 5 years. No kid wants to come come to a school that has had a losing record for 3 years with all the same staff and nothing has been done to try and jump start some sort of change. Without at least a few changes in the staff after 3 terrible seasons, the University is telling recruits that it is OK with being below average and no quality kid wants to sign up for 4 years of being a door mat. We can bring up the money issue all we want but until the salaries change, we have to do the best we can with what we have and IMO, we are not doing that right now.

I agree that that was a totally classless move by the students that threw the snowballs. I hope that if that happens in the future SDSU has somebody there to kick out the people that are throwing the snowballs and if they hit anybody, punish them accordingly.

The snowball throwing is just embarrassing for them and shows this rivalry probably isn't going to be getting any healthier anytime soon. The complete lack of reprimand is also a joke. This went on after at least two warnings from the loudspeakers, and I didn't hear of anyone being removed and there certainly weren't any flags.

I get they have had the upper hand the last 3 years while we have tried to fight out of the transition but NDSU looks at SDSU the same way as SDSU looks at USD. how many times has SDSU beat NDSU in football since they transitioned? Once that I can remember. Maybe twice. It surely hasent happened as of late and most of the football games between those two have not even been close.
This is in response to Yote14 post earlier in this thread.
----------
I just saw the answer to this question so I figured that I'd share it with you.
SDSU and NDSU went DI in 2004.
SDSU won games in 2004, 2007, 2008 and 2009. NDSU won games in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2011, 2012(2), 2013 and 2014.
That makes it NDSU is up 8 to 4 and SDSU hasn't won in the last 5 years. SDSU lost twice to NDSU in 2012 because they lost up in Fargo both in the regular season and in the playoffs. I'd have to look back to see what the scores were but this answers some of your question.
Hopefully we get another shot at them this year. That will mean that we won our 1st playoff game and we'll see how if goes (if we get there).

I assume that if you saw USD fans throwing snowballs on the field at SDSU players, you would condemn them equally. I agree with you that snowballs should not have been thrown and I'm a little surprised the refs didn't toss a flag on the crowd. But if the refs had done so, they would have thrown flags against both crowds. If you have the game on DVR, go to 14:30 in the 2nd quarter and watch USD fans. Tell me if you want a couple other times to check too. Both sides were doing it and it is not acceptable.

You're correct. I was shooting video of the team coming onto the field before kickoff. Snowballs all over the place. I didn't see one hit Joe (because I was looking in my viewfinder) but he ran into my shot and pointed behind me and shouted "Get his picture! Get his #*!@-ing picture!". Which I did.

Anyone who did it was wrong. I did not see any USD people throwing them on the field during play or hit coach Steigelmeier. It could have happened jackjd but I didnt see it.

And at the end of the day it happened in your football stadium so you are responsible for it. As was pointed out how does security not do something about it. Who was in charge Paul Blart mall cop?

OK. Enough with the snowballs. It shouldn't happen. Neither school's administration would condone it. SDSU students were the ones that were publicly acknowledged for throwing them at players and coaches. USD fans don't have proof that some students weren't punished. Things like this have happened in the past at both schools and will likely happen again (although they shouldn't). No need for us as USD fans to all of the sudden act like self-righteous philistines. Let this topic die.

You don't want to go there. Hey, CousinEddie: you pegged the Minnesota v. Nebraska game correctly. I thought Gophers had a chance -- you thought they'd win. How you calling Nebraska at Iowa? I'm picking Iowa by a touchdown. You missed some fun tailgating up North on Saturday. Yotemeal apparently let the wife give him orders on Saturday and he was a no-show. Saw some good people decked out in red. Yotemeal: I unveiled my latest brew...made with hops I grew. I need to let it sit for a couple more weeks but you could have had an early sample. Your buddy KULawJack gave it a thumbs up.
