Surprised no one has mentioned this yet (it is a bit NSFW), but here is a clip from KSU's marching band performance on Saturday: screengrabber.deadspin.com/kansas-state-band-formation-is-nsfw-1728983145I can't believe this kind of thing would ever happen in the ranks of the Power 5 conferences. I would be embarrassed if our band ever pulled the same stunt featuring one of our rivals. Have to admit, it gave me a chuckle.

Will echo some other posters here. ST was a joke this weekend. I can forgive the missed kicks/shanked punts. Miles had a bad day, and I'm sure he knows that. What we can't allow to happen is the blown coverages on kickoffs and punts. I kept hearing how much improved the ST would be this year with Marquice Williams as the new coordinator.

If you look at it another way, well, you see something else. Honestly don't think it was done on purpose and when it came off that way it was an "oh, crap" moment.

Understandable... but why must the Starship Enterprise enter the Jayhawk's mouth?

Their marching band director has been suspended for one game - the KU game.

I half watched this and kept trying to figure out what the band was trying to make in their formations. I kept thinking it was a sword "stabbing" the KU Jayhawk.

Not to change the subject, but wanted to give kudos to Shufford, for a fine game. He had 6 catches, I believe, only 76 yards, but they were all hard-fought yards, and he also added some tough return yards. It was impressive to watch the broken tackles against a fine secondary, he's going to have a nice 2-year career at the "U". We're fortunate to have him!

I remember a catch he had last year where a defender was flying at him to try lighting Shufford up, dude caught the ball then knocked the defender onto his back. If not for stepping out of bounds in making the hit he might have had some yards after the catch too!

In a game such as this I don't think any big conclusions can really be drawn positive or negative. The game played out and ended about what was to be expected. The Yotes didn't do too bad statistically but weren't real opportunistic either.

There were only 30000 at the Kansas game vs a capacity of 50000 so not much of a home field advantage for FBS. Minnesota had 49000 when they got beat by the Yotes.

Two freshmen with bright careers ahead of them! I hope a couple more of our freshmen can emerge in the UC Davis game.
