I did not purchase the K-state feed. Does anyone have some feedback on how Ramsey looked? Did we target him at all?

Ramsey saw only one pass in his direction (a reception), by my accounts. I don't think you missed anything as it relates to Ramsey, from the K State game. Maybe others have a different view.

A guy who got some targets and looked really good I thought was Van Roekel. You cant teach size and theres no receiver like him in our WR rotation. He and Saeger had one very good back shoulder hookup, a play thats extremely hard to defend when you have receiver that size. I wouldnt be surprised to see Van Roekel, Ramsey, and Shufford be the leaders in targets assuming all healthy going forward. I know, really going out on a limb there...seems Donavan has faded a litle.

I think he will have a much better season. My guess is most teams will key on Shufford and hopefully get Riley some 1 on 1 shots over the top.

He's in for a big year. Based on what I've heard from coaches, I would expect to see quite a bit out of RFR Ethan Fenchel as well. He's bigger than Ramsey and just as athletic. Had a nice catch deep over the middle on first play from scrimmage at Kansas State. If he comes along as expected, that will make a pretty impressive 1-2 punch at TE.

I would agree with our playmakers on offense but I don't think Donovan is fading as much as Seager is not to the point of working down field comfortably yet. As the run game picks up Ryan should have some time to get deep chances. That was a big problem last year but I thin the oline is getting better and if we want to be successful we will have to run and throw more than just crossing routes underneath. Should have more chances this week. But until we do that Donovan probably doesn't get a ton of chances because of the position he plays.

Agree on Van Roekel and Fenchel, they are showing some real promise. I believe also that getting the running game going and adding these 2 to the Shufford, Donovan and Ramsey trio will make Saeger's job much more comfortable.
