Youngstown hits an open receiver about 10-15 yards downfield and the receiver just runs right through the middle of the secondary for a 50 plus yard touchdown. It's 17-0 and it is quite apparent that this isn't UC Davis we are playing today. They are much better.

The offense gets the ball back and goes meekly 3 and out. The Yotes are looking like a deer in the headlights right now. They have almost no energy right now.

Halftime: Youngstown 17-0
The Yotes without being able to run up the gut are lost on offense. They have no sophistication on offense whatsoever. It's either run up the middle every play, call a quarterback keeper on an option play, or throw it down field on a straight line route to a receiver that can get no seperation on a defender. whatever happened to running intermediate timing routes. There is very little speed on offense so getting around the edge on running plays is a virtual impossibility. I have noticed a general lack of talent as the primary reasons for the Yotes not being competitive so far and the coaching is not able to do anything to make up for it in other ways. There are about 100 things the Coyotes can do on offense and they choose to do about 1/10th of that. The lead is not insurmountable but if nothing changes with the scheming it will be impossible.

Both teams don't score on their first possession of the 2nd half. Michael Frederick is in at runningback now for South Dakota and if nothing else he has shown some burst which has been missing from Coyote runningbacks. I would like to see a little more of him to see what he can do. Youngstown has the ball about halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Youngstown misses on an easy pick 6. 118 yards of total offense so far for SD. Saeger is stinking up the joint today. This offense is unbelievably anemic today.

The finals nails have been driven into the Coyotes coffin. The USD punt returner muffs the ball at his own 2 yard line and YSU recovers. 2 yards and a cloud of turf later and it's 24-0 for the Penguins. SD4ever I feel sorry for you coming all the way from Arizona to watch this dumpster fire today. This is one of the worst offensive displays I can remember seeing out of the Yotes for a long time. IMO Youngstown isn't even doing anything special today. They are likely a mid pack MVFC team and are totally taking apart the Yotes.

If I didn't know any better I would have said CF was sitting behind me today. That group of 5 left maybe a minute into the second quarter. No one can give the student section a hard time after the main grandstand emptied so damn early today.
Fantastic performance by the defense today. Especially considering just how long they spent on the field. Offense is garbage. Please replace Wes now.

Saeger picked off after it bounces off a players helmet and goes into the air. The Pens capitilize and it's 31-3. Would the Yotes have been better off to take a knee on every snap and punted on 4th down instead of what occurred today.

Keep the coach we hired from Sourthern U, but let's blow this crap up. Let Glenn go back to Arizona and kick back, the OC can find an NAIA job somewhere. This football debacle is embarrassing!! Is there anyway the basketball arena can be done in time for this year?
