I could care less if Yoteforver played. Good for him but all that makes him is an even bigger homer that doesn't think objectively. There are many players that don't make very good coaches at all and based on Yoteforever's past comments he wouldn't be a good coach either. He has personally attacked me on this board more than once so why respect a guy that goes to that level. I respect Yoteforver exactly 0%. The best part about being a fan is that you don't have to be objective. You love you team and back them no matter what. At least that is what true fans do. It doesn't matter if I don't like the coach, think the facilities need to be better, or anything else, I will show upon Saturdays and cheer my heart out for the team on the field because I'm a true fan. I am optimistic about the future because if I wasn't, what is the point. Saturdays watching the Coyotes in the Dakota Dome or watching them on TV with my family are the best part of fall.

I would like to address the notion that winning a football game can be a "fluke." Individuals plays may possess this element but you generally do not see one team prevail over another in football over the coure of 4 quarters and attribute as a fluke occurrence. You may on occassion see a poor to average hitter get "lucky" and randomly connect with a ball off a great pitcher. You see fluke shots in basketball. These are generally rare but always entertaining. These fluke moments rarely occur over sustained events against top quality competitors. You're just not going to see a middle of the road swimmer beat a top swimmer that swims close to their best time. You won't see a sprinter run a time significantly less than their personal best at the highest level. The variations in time and performance are generally incremental. It just doesn't work that way and in my experience over the course of a football game the better team will more often than not prevail. Close games may be determined by a fluke play or even a handful of fluke plays but to suggest that USD's win over NDSU was a fluke is completely misguided. Whether this win propels the team forward to greater success is a different issue. To call the NDSU win a fluke is disrespectful to USD and the effort they put forth.
The NDSU game wasn't a fluke. The team needs to sustain its focus and bring consistency to their level of play but consistency is the hallmark of good/great teams and good/great programs. I was disappointed that USD came away with FG's rather than TD's in it's first few drives of the game. There were too many drive stopping penalties. I was gretaly heartended, however, by the way they were moving the ball. They came out in the second half and I didn't see those same mental errors. I attribute that improvement directly to the coaching staff helping the players sharpen their focus at halftime.
Hey, all of these teams are striving to advance their programs. The competition is fierce and that's what makes it fun and exciting. I think this staff has doen a great job. I have stated before and will say it again, this program is extremely fortunate to have Joe Glenn available. He is a VERY knowledgable football coach and a GREAT motivator -- in addition to being a class act. He's not using USD as stepping stone to get somewhere else (not that this is necessarily a bad thing for a coach), but having a head coach that truly cares about his players and the school is a wonderful thing.
This staff and these players are to be applauded for these recent wins. The NDSU win was clearly VERY special. First and foremost you want it to give the players confidence that they can compete against a top tier team. Have them develop the confidence in themselves and their coaches that they can get it done when it matters. Next you want the team to develop a taste for winning. You want this to become a feeling they crave. It's what motivates these young men in the off season, pre-season, between games, and when the going gets tough during the season.
It's a great game and we should all be very proud of this team and staff.

Oh my god would everyone just stop entertaining CF? Any response to any of his posts results in ridiculous pissing matches. And.... When you are in a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent he may never understand he has lost but he might just keep on pissing.

I so wish we had a fan base that demanded winning but unfortunately that is not the case. That is really too bad isn't it since Golden is "a good guy". Good job Miami and way to demand accountability. espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/13972433/miami-hurricanes-fire-al-golden-head-coach

I wouldn't worry about you doing something like this because that cost money and you don't even buy tickets, let alone any other support. All I wish for is answering every question I asked you the past couple days. You dodge them. Regarding your comment about me playing ball doesn't factor, I agree with that. I also agree I wouldnt been a very good coach. Lastly, you say I attack you on this board. I disagree. I made one comment awhile back that said if players ever knew who you were they would rip you apart. Not me, them. I simply stand up to your generic posts and ask you to qualify them. You don't do that. Hell, you weren't even at any games we've played. I'm not sure what you base your comments on, but my attitude towards you is simple. They have no credibility unless you qualify them. In closing, I'm sorry you have 0% respect for me. That hurts. It cuts to the bone. But with luck, the sun will come up tomorrow. I no longer will take you on in a public forum. I said that last week, but your post was so incredibly stupid you goaded me into replying. In the future, if I'm going to chastise you, I'll do it privately. Now, can this board focus on the UNI game and put this childish chatter between CF and me out of mind? CF predicts the Coyotes lose 31-7.

I am unsure which questions you want me to answer so go ahead and copy and paste or whatever you need to do and I will be happy to answer them and actually I will answer any question you want me to at any time but I want to do it on an open forum. Since you are requesting this and I will honor your request I would also like you to honor my request and post your picks on the Coyotes on a weekely basis including the score. Just put them in the MVFC thread if you need to. The reason I am asking this is that you keep questioning my football intelligence. If you didn't I wouldn't ask for that. That goes for everyone that wants to questions my football knowledge. Maybe I don't have any but you better be putting those picks out for everyone to see so we can see if you have any either.
So far I am wrong on Davis and NDSU and right on K-State, Drake, Youngstown, W. Illinois and Missouri State.

BigOYote, Why don't you give your analysis of the UNI game and let us know what will happen in that game. If I know nothing why don't you prove how much more you know personally. You can start by simply telling us who is gonna win that game. No idea who is going to win since I am not an omniscient being. To best UNI or anybody for that matter the Yotes need to run the ball, control the line of scrimmage, get turn overs on defense, and score more points than they do. Piece of cake
