Hey guys, Game is Saturday, it seems like we always play you guys after a lackluster performance and we get pissed off and take it out on the coyotes. After a sloppy game on offense with 3 turnovers by our QB and a defensive performance that just plain stunk...................... its Coyotes week!
I'm expecting a great day of tailgating & hope to see some red walking around the lots!

As if this season hasn't been disappointing enough, up next is a trip to the House of Horrors. We haven't been competitive in our two MVFC games so far this season, somebody try to sell me on how they think the Coyotes have a chance against NDSU. I don't see it.

After the loss to WI, sputtering into NDSU is the last place I want to go. This one could be over by halftime.

This games points out how important the mental part of any athletic competition is. Do the Coyotes come out and simply go through the motions or will they show some fight? NDS undoubtedly will take us lightly. If nothing else I think our goal is to show improvement. Vermilion and White > Mustard and Green.

"I'm a Coyote, I'm a Coyote, I'm a Coyote don't 'cha know.... I would rather be a Coyote than a F#@%ing Buffalo!" as sung at the top of my lungs while being under age and over served during the 1986 D2 National Championship game.

tjbison--I remember the 86 Championship game and it was competitive--I think the score was 23-7. In particular I remember Tyrone Braxton returning a punt for a TD. He went on to star for the Denver Broncos as a DB. The Yotes will be competitive with the bison again sooner than you think!

Never said that we won that game or very many at all against NDSU - just saying I'm more proud of my school than I want to be a part of yours.

I'm skeptical unless a bout of food poisoning hits their team on Friday. Anyone know where the team dinner is being held?

Got a kick out of John Gruden breaking down the Steeler's "Bison Blitz" defense last night on MNF's pre-game. Seems he knows how to pronounce Bison correctly. =) That said, I am afraid NDSzU will too much for us this weekend.
A long-time USD supporter on Saturday told me that he knows a NDSU player who shared with him that USD is the easiest team in the Valley to prepare because we're so predictable. Who knows if that kid said that, I believe the guy I spoke with, but who cares? When we came out in the second half at WIU and mixed it up, look what happened. We reached the end zone in what, 3 plays?! There's your sign.
And then we gave up a TD, got the ball back on our 19 or 20 and call a run, another run, and a doomed pass for 7 yards when we needed 15, and presto, 3 and out. How do we NOT have a designed play for 15 yards to at least give ourselves a chance on third down? I get we averaged pretty good yardage running the ball, but that last play just makes you want to pull your hair out.
Whatever, my thoughts are more about Sam M. at this point than what happens this weekend.

Anyway, I didn't mean to offend you so deeply.
