TD Yotes so it goes to 40 to 10. My prediction call is looking pretty good.

I am kinda glad I have no sound as I will go watch my DVR of UNI @ State College when this is over not knowing how that game is going. I am also recording UND @ Montana. Lots of football ahead for The One and Only today.

Thank you. I think they have a reputation for turning out lots of good college players. USD should recruit even heavier in Arizona. Especially Phoenix. Joe probably has all kinds of connections here.

SD holds as the Bears miss a FG. 1;32 left.
Score should have been a lot worse. I hope the Yotes got some mistakes out of their system today. I am gonna count on that. Big game next week.
Go Coyotes!

Good to get the "W" without much sweat. Need good practices this week.
On to PantherLand. Time for a "Mushroom Cloud' there too.
Fight South Dakota!

So 40-10 is the final. I thought the defense was good and the offense was average. Getting to 40 is the minimum standard for a solid day against their defense. While this win is nice I saw way too many things in the first half that will not bode well for the rest of the year. All in all I didn't really see anything that I didn't expect and for the most part this game doesn't really improve or detract from the Coyotes outlook for the rest of the year. This was pretty much a bye week this week.

Oh my, The Bears get a long run to the Yote 4. Come on big D. This. Play. Was. Nuts. Van Ginkel spots their RB 4 yards and catches him on a dead sprint from behind, no angle, on a 60 yard run. I'm sure this happens from time to time, but I don't recall seeing a Defensive End catch a Running Back from behind at this level. 6 tackles, 2 TFL (one was arguably a sack), and one pass deflected. And we get to watch this guy for three and a half more years. Great day by the defense. 7 points on the kick return wasn't theirs. Nearly had the shutout, but 3 points is still great! Go Yotes!

USD win made even better by SDSU loss. It was a fun day at the dome. The crowd in the first half was as into the game as I've seen it in a long while. Student section still sucked as I think maybe 100 kids stuck around for the second half.

The SDSU loss today is hilarious. 3 straight Hobo Day defeats and they lose to a win less conference team. That program is consistant but every year they have a head scratching loss or two and it always costs them a high playoff seed. They looked so good at Youngstown only to lay an egg this week. Luckily they can lick their wounds a bit with a Bye week at Missouri State next week. After that they host Illinois State and if they lose that one they can kiss any home playoff game goodbye. If they lose 2 more their playoff hopes will be on life support. If they want to consider themselves a true national championship contender they can't have games like today. The Coyotes did the Jacks a big favor by beating their nemesis NDSU opening the door for them to have the upper hand on the Bison only to give it right back a week later. Maybe the Yotes can put the Jacks out of their misery on November 14th but the Jacks play pretty good on the road so that is highly questionable but would be awsome none the less.

While this win is nice I saw way too many things in the first half that will not bode well for the rest of the year. All in all I didn't really see anything that I didn't expect and for the most part this game doesn't really improve or detract from the Coyotes outlook for the rest of the year. This was pretty much a bye week this week. This is why I don't respect your posts on football. I think that you think you fully understand the game and everything that goes into success, but I don't think you do and I will use this one post as a simple example. First, you thought the defense was good. Are you serious? That defense today was great. Frickin awesome. They held Missouri State to 150 yards. And had they not given up a 60 yard run late they would have held them to under 100. I don't care how shitty a team is, that's awesome. Secondly, the offense was average? We put up 525 yards + on a very balanced attack. Our young running backs were phenomenal. They ran hard, very hard. Saeger played under control and managed the game very well. Our special teams gave up a touchdown on kickoff, and that's not good. But other than that, they were fantastic. Coverage was swarming. Bergner kicked up to his potential, and his kickoffs were perfect. The holding call on our kick return for touchdown was a phantom call. Total bs. What I want to know is exactly what you saw, as you say...way to many things in the first half that won't bode well for the rest of the year. I want to know specifically what those things were. And for gods sake don't say penalties. I saw nothing that isn't fixable that will keep us out of ball games the rest of the year. Finally you close by making a broad statement that doesn't improve or detract from the Coyotes outlook the rest of the season. You are inferring that they won't win another game. You are inferring NDSU was a fluke. I'm telling you it wasn't. This team is now learning that they can compete in the Valley. I think they know they aren't elite but they aren't the door mat either. They are gaining confidence. The defense is a high performing entity. They have a shot to win more games.

Instead of hiding from your predictions on the Coyotes like you did this week what is your early pick for next week. Will the Yotes beat UNI. How about one of your super predictions. If you pick the Coyotes to win almost every game of course you are going to eventually get one right. Put it out there Yoteforver. Average Valley teams put up 50 plus points on this Missouri State defense. What the Coyote offense did today was nothing special and honestly barely average. I already said that the Coyote defense was good today so we don't have any argument there.
My early pick for next week is 31-7 Panthers. The Yotes may very well keep it closer but my thought is that everything starts to unravel again next week. UNI's win against SDSU will have them flying high next week.

I made the prediction last week because I believed the Coyotes could win it. The fact I hit the number exactly is pure luck, and I know that. Hiding from my picks? I simply forgot to post USD, but believe what you want. You think I'd pick Missouri State? Look at your picks today ( absent of USD game ). You lose. Again. Next weeks game at UNI? Don't have a feel yet. Want to hear how we practice and how we approach the game. If we practice well and we don't get a big head, I think we will be in it to the end. I don't think 31-7 is correct. But again, that's your wishful thinking hoping we get beat so you once again can lead the charge of firing Joe Glenn. Admit it, you want us to lose so you can be right. Man up and admit it. Then I will give you some credibility.
