Not good to be stranded a long ways from Normal.

I have not looked at a forecast but I have to think it will be hours before they could potentially fly out. The bus might be rolling into Normal right at noon.

Unless there is a major delay I could see the game being moved back to a 4PM start or maybe a 7PM start but I would doubt it would be moved to Sunday. Now just watch as soon as I say that it will probably be announced soon that they will move the game to Sunday.

It looks like the team was boarding the plane at 6, though I have yet to see confirmation that the plane actually took off.

There was a big difference in the amount of snow at the airport vs the South side of town. The airport got about 5 inches. Southern Sioux Falls ended up getting about a foot and Harrisburg and Canton ended up with 17 inches. It's a good thing the airport isn't about 15 miles south or where it is or the Yotes might not get out of town at all tonight. As far as I know the wind hasn't been too bad so I am actually a bit surprised that all these delays are happening.

I'm just hoping they get there (and back) safe and sound...goes for any other team, too.

SDSU left SF Airport about 9:30 and made it Peoria at about 10:20-10:25.
I assume USD made it too. Can anyone confirm?

Zimmerman tweeted from Peoria that USF really had it bad. They initially boarded their flight at 9:00 this morning BUT they didn't leave Sioux Falls until about 10:30 this evening! Hope they do okay in their playoff game.

The game couldn't be moved to Sunday or very highly unlikely because the FCS Playoff Selection Show is on Sunday at 10am.

Hope they do okay in their playoff game. Plus USF was on their plane for 4 hours today before having to go back to the gates to wait for the weather to pass. Jay Elsen tweeted that they did land around 8:30-9:00. They then found out that their bus drivers were on a dinner break! Can't catch a break

USD landed in Bloomington-Normal at about 6:45 according to Mick Garry. That noon kickoff is not in question.

USD landed in Bloomington-Normal at about 6:45 according to Mick Garry. That noon kickoff is not in question. Maybe not convenient but that is not really all that bad. They should still have time to get ready for the game and hopefully that won't effect their performance.

Actually I believe they left around 7:45 as they arrived at 8:52. It's on flighttracker. But no matter who is right or wrong, it is disruptive. They missed a practice where teams typically do walk throughs and get acclamation to the stadium. Is it a deal breaker? Probably not, but nonetheless that's one distraction and irritation the home team didn't have to go through. Things like not eating on time, being worked up and possible sleep issues.
Yesterday wasn't good for any SD team. Truthfully, I think it will have a negative impact. I hope not, and I won't use it as an excuse, but I think it will.

The team made it at any rate. We have a chance at a huge win that would push us to a winning record and 4-4 MVFC record, an incredible step in the right direction for this program. Let's go Yotes!

Definitely some snow out on the field, power football may be the key today.
