Fun facts:
Illinois State has the longest active home winning streak in FCS football at 17. Sound familiar? Let's end another one of those streaks!
Ryan Saeger is 40 yards away from being just the fourth Coyote QB to have 2000 passing yards in a season
Miles Bergner is two field goals away from tying the single season USD record of 44
First outdoor game for USD since the WIU game on October 10th. Funny how we only have two conference games not in a dome in odd years.

I am not sure if this has been posted but the game is on ESPN 3 today. Remember the days where there was no such thing as being able to watch a game on tv or internet. Now there aren't many games that are not watchable. Good photo BTW.

Love that I can watch the road games on ESPN3. The broadcast started and holy crap I don't know that Saeger will have 40 passing yards in these conditions. Such a stiff wind, snow just piled up on the field and it continues to fly. There might not be more than 2000 spectators in attendance and I do not blame those who stayed home.

Oh boy, Saeger has been taken out after being tripped from behind. Woodward leading us now. I absolutely can not tell where we are at on the field.

weather is a big time factor today and the wind is just as much of an issue as the snow. 0-0 but so far the Yotes have had a bit more success moving the ball and they will get it for their second possession at their own 20.

The Coyotes are punting and it is not even getting much past the line of scrimmage. The first punt ended up being a net -8 yards. If the Yotes get out of the first quarter at 0-0 it will be a win just because of the wind.

My revised prediction for this game, Coyotes win 3-0 in 4 OTs

we might have to treat this game like we are playing a video game and go for it on 4th down every time. Punting the ball into the wind has been a bad idea so far for the Yotes, Negative 8 yd punt the first time and about a 10 yard punt the second time. Maybe a rugby style kick? Have to adjust to these conditions.

Illinois State strikes first with a perfectly executed field goal in the snow. Any points are golden today and it's 3-0. The Yotes will get that wind soon and it can't be stressed enough how important that will be for field position.

So Woody must be the Zone read QB for this game since Saeger has a bum ankle. I'm not sure how effective the rotation of the 2 QBs has been so far.

Now the Yotes take the advantage in the 2nd quarter. Can they parlay that into a touchdown before halftime.

Illinois State much smarter on their anti wind punt by minimizing the wind factor. Line drive and it's gets nice yards on it. The Yotes get their first true drive coming up with the wind.

The Birds score a TD but miss the PAT. 9-0 Illinois State which is a pretty big lead on a day like today.
