According to a recent interview with Nielson the way it sounds there is a good chance that at least 2 quarterbacks could see significant time. Nielson says that he isn't necessarily a fan of that approach but with the different types of quarterbacks on the roster he can foresee the platoon system being put into place. Dislike. Coach Nielson was clearly implying that two QBs will get significant time as we will be blowing everyone out by halftime. Seriously though does a two QB system ever work better than just having one of the two guys be the main guy? |

Please trust me on this, Bob Nielson knows how to build a program I have watched him do to it here at WIU. He's going to look at this year as a throw away year and red shirt most freshmen. His first year at WIU he redshirted all but two kids. He will also have both QB's play until it's proven who the better QB is. Remember he has a multi year contract and has the time to do it right. He has proven that every where he has coached.
You just need to trust Bob and let him do his thing. It took WIU 3 years to turn it around, granted you have a better team now then when he started with WIU so maybe it only takes 2 years.
