Anyone know if we'll be able to watch the game Saturday on any cable networks or via live stream over the internet?

Hard to get a read on YSU so far to me. The 2 FCS teams they played are pretty bad. Pre-season expectations were high for them, but that seems to be the case each year.
It will be interesting to see how they come out after the disappointing loss and bye week. I would think the Yotes go in with some confidence while YSU is still wondering what they can or can't do. I dunno...

Mick tweeted that BVR hurt his arm in practice and is out for YSU. Anybody know who is next up on the depth chart?
***edit*** looks like it would be Alonge Brooks.

Hey guys, Penguin fan here. Looking forward to the game this saturday. Weather is supposed to be a little crappy but we'll survive. Here a couple things to watch with us:
Our starting QB had a concussion in week 2 vs West Virginia but he's healthy and ready to go. Same with our speedster RB Jody Webb and our starting RG, coming off a foot injury.
Defense leads the way with this team. Our All-American DE Derek Rivers, who will be playing on sunday's next year, along with Avery Moss our Nebraska transfer on the other side wreak havoc on the QB. I see your QB can run the ball so it will be interesting to see how it plays out. Safety Leroy Alexander, another Nebraska transfer leads the back end of the defense.
Offensively, it's still too soon to tell how good this group will be. Ricky is a dual threat QB who can make some nice throws and move the chains with his feet as well. 2 headed monster rushing attack with Ruiz and Webb still going strong. Our WR's are the biggest concern. We have a transfer from the University of Florida, who leads the group but we are still pretty inexperienced at that position. O-Line are all big boys and like to get after it.
Should be a good matchup!

We could really use a win on the road there to get our confidence up for the Valley season. If our guys are hitting on all cylinders, our offense makes big plays and our defense can make stops as well... Will be fun to see how we match against up against you guys this year.

The Coyotes really should be chomping at the bit for this one but the bye week might cool down the fire a bit. I think the bye came at a bad time. A Coyote team that is really focused can win this game but this is the Valley and a little more growing up probably still needs to be done. If Streveler can be turnover free the Coyotes will probably be in good shape. I gotta go Youngstown State in this one 30-17. Would love to flip the score around but the Yotes still need to prove it before I can pick them to win this type of game just yet.

Speaking of the Bye week, this schedule has been absolutely brutal for momentum. I was talking with a lady in town last night, she knows I attend all Coyote games, and she asked if we've even played at home or what is going on with the season. One home game in the month of September doesn't cut it in terms of having fan interest in the program. By the time the Coyotes finally play another home game it is already D-Days and the team has a shot at sporting a 1-3 record coming into a game with UNI. Let's just say that scenario isn't great for gaining casual fan or student interest. It is what it is when you give up a date for that FBS game but having all these backloaded home games isn't good for the program.

I'm going to go counter to the prevailing conventional wisdom (2 reasons listed below) and pick Yotes in an ugly 33-30 win.
My reasoning: First, no one really knows squat about YSU because of their OOC schedule, so there is no reason to be so intimidated. Plus, I think the bye week helps us more due to the shifting bodies on D this year. Second, although there are obviously posters on the board who don't agree, I think it is much more fun to be a fan who thinks we have a shot at winning every game vs. focusing on the bitching/complaining/negatives of a team.

I am more concerned with a high octane passing offense than run first O. Yes, the team struggled against an FBS triple option offense, but I doubt the D will see anything at that level going forward. I believe the front seven will show their stuff and play a complete game which leads me to predict a Yote 30-27 win.

I think Eddie's assessment of Pelini is spot-on. He obviously follows Nebraska football, as do I.
Pelini's defensive system was ideal for defending spread teams, but relied on elite athletes on the D-line (Suh and Crick). His defense was always vulnerable to a power run team with a speedy back, or running QBs.
Pelinis defense also has a high pass efficiency numbers. And he likes to mix in nickel and dime coverages. He will sacrifice size for speed in recruiting, so again the O-line that can push his guys around is key.
