Pretty sure their fan forums will now predict them to win the national championship My how NDSU has fallen Honestly the road to the national championship runs through NDSU, so a team that can win in Fargo can win the whole thing. They won't be able to win it without a rematch, which historically has gone very well for NDSU.

The Jacks are in the drivers seat in the Valley and if anyone unseats the Bison as conference champs I would say that team has at least a fighting chance to win it all. With that said the Jacks save their choke jobs for the playoffs so it's hard to imagine that they would be able to get through the number of playoff games that it would take to win it all. That is a big win though for their program so all the more power to them but hopefully they short circuit before getting anywhere near a national title.
For the Coyotes I really hope that Streveler is going to be ok. Saeger did so-so in his time in there but Strev with his improvement in his passing game is the guy we need. What does this say about Simmons the supposed future of Coyote football. He is third string at best it would seem. I am still in shock of what just happened in Terre Haute. The Coyote faced mega adversity and somehow were able to pull it out when it seemed like this was just going to be another chapter in the book of blowing leads and losing games.
I am about 40% happy and about 60% just relieved to avoid another tragedy. I think as next week gets closer I will be simply just happy.

I am slightly surprised that Saeger came out in the second half. Pretty sure that when Streveler briefly left the games against WSU and UND we had Simmons come in (he did have a TD pass against WSU). Still I would say I have more faith in the senior whose been here before to pull out this victory than the freshman.
I heard nothing in the postgame about the decision to pull Streveler. Hope we have him at 100% again soon.

Flippin bunnies beat the bison. It's hard to win in Fargo. No one has done it since USD did it last year. 😄

There is some irony in the Jacks win in Fargo. What that could do is setup a playoff rematch in Brookings, probably in December. My money would be on the Bison in a rematch. The Jacks are a team that would be ideal for a domed stadium as their home field. They are pretty finesse on offense and their defense can't stop anybody until this week. A dome would help the D and the O IMO. I don't remember a game in attendance up there where the wind either wasn't a moderate or major factor in the game. It is surprising that the Jacks pulled out a defensive type game but I don't think they would do that two times in a row against NDSU. The Bison would be more ideally suited for the likely weather that Brookings would produce in December. It may make their passing game more ineffective.

Too lazy to go look this up, but this is the first outdoor mvfc win, right? How easy would it have been to fold up the tent after giving up 10 in the final two minutes on the road. Go Yotes!

Box score for the game: www.goyotes.com/boxscore.aspx?path=football&id=750Official attendance listed at 3,297. Yikes. Only think I can think of as an excuse for that low attendance would be that this game did conflict with both Indiana and Purdue's football games (both Big Ten schools are within 100 miles of Terre Haute). Looking over the drive chart it looks like we had two turnovers that went for zero points, though one of those ensuing drives was the goaline stand. Happy to see the team give up no points off turnovers in consecutive weeks. No coincidence that they were both wins.

I'm interested in an even more meaningful stat - what are the they in outdoor MVFC games when it is mostly sunny, but breezy, with under 4,000 in attendance in mid-October? I think they are undefeated, but don't know that for sure.
