new interview with Ciara: She is an amazing young lady! Kelly Stewart does a great job with the interview as well. I see Ciara is a political science major but no matter where her career path takes her, she will be successful.

So that was the winter of 1998? I was a student then. Another fun fact is that a young Aaron Johnston was a first-year GA under Nagy's men's team that year. That dude has been up there forever.

Charlie Creme's latest article today on ESPN.com mentions South Dakota: www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/28396366/will-louisville-florida-state-nc-state-rise-top-acc"...For South Dakota, an undefeated run through the Summit League is a necessity. The Coyotes' résumé (it includes a loss to Missouri State) isn't as strong as the other two and the Summit is the weakest of the three conferences, so even wins within the league will begin to hurt South Dakota's RPI. Any loss along the way would be extremely detrimental. The Coyotes could very well run the table. Ciara Duffy and Hannah Sjerven might be the two best players in the conference, and chief rival South Dakota State is down this season. The Coyotes already have a 31-point win over Western Illinois to start league play. It will take 15 more nights like that to give South Dakota a chance at bringing NCAA tournament games to Vermillion."

I've speculated about this possibility but am very surprised to see ESPN also talk about it. Only 18 more wins in a row to maybe get NCAA games in Verm!

For clarity of those who didn't read the full article, he is referring to hosting the first round, not just getting an at-large.

Does everyone think this could be possible?

Do I think it’s possible? Yes because I firmly believe at this point in the season we are a top 10-15 team. Top 16 host.
A lot of things have to go right but I put nothing out of reach for this team. As fans let’s just do our part and make the SCSC a living hell for opponents.

Does everyone think this could be possible? I think it's looking way too far ahead since one stumble would probably take us out of contention, but yes it's a possibility. The linked article above says we are in the mix to host NCAA games. As far as I know you just have to earn a top-4 seed in the tournament. I think we might get there if we run the table. That's a huge feat though.

Hank's AL article after the women torch Denver for over a hundred points:
Selected quotes:
...By the end of the day, their 22 offensive rebounds translated to 30 second-chance points with the home team slicing and dicing through the lane with relative ease...
...The Pioneers' point total, 61, was their lowest since they managed just 59 in a loss at Lamar on Dec. 8....
...Standout forward Madison Nelson (17.8 ppg) ... was held to just four points on 1 of 16 shooting, both season lows....Arens, who was assigned to guard Nelson, said the key to limiting the 6-foot-1 forward was knowing the matchup and focusing on what she likes to do...
...While Arens guarded Nelson, Duffy was assigned to Lauren Loven, who finished with seven points on 3 of 4 shooting before fouling out...
...three players recorded double-doubles: Duffy (19 points, 11 rebounds, six assists, one block), Hannah Sjerven (18 points, 12 rebounds, two steals, two blocks, one assist) and Taylor Frederick (14 points, 10 rebounds, eight of which came on offense)...
