Great season for the Yotes! Didn't play very well in the 2nd half tonight or we might not be in reflection mode just yet, but there is a lot of pride to have this year. We not only firmly established ourselves in the Summit League this year, WE WON THE SUMMIT LEAGUE. USD basketball has finally and completely arrived in this D1 era, and we will be the team to beat in the Summit for at least the next two years. We are Summit League Champions, and will be the team to beat! That's a fact! Considering where we started, that makes this season a tremendous success. Thanks to Coach Smith, Tyler Flack and all the guys. Fun to watch, can't wait 'til next year! Best of luck to Tyler in all future endeavors, it was a pleasure watching your time as a Yote! Hat tip to the Daves and Mr Abbott for their efforts in building this program.

What a great job by the entire athletic department on this game. Sending a fan bus for the students along with free tickets definitely helped give USD a solid presence. So proud of what this team accomplished. The goal is now to run the table next year in the Summit and win the whole damn thing. If this doesn't motivate them, I don't know what else will.
GO YOTES!

It's interesting to note that there are 351 D1 men's basketball teams. The NCAA and NIT tournaments represent the top 100 each year. Obviously a lot more fun being in the "top 100" than not! Again great season Yotes!! Thanks!!

Not sure if someone mentioned already, but WOW - Hurst was a beast. He went with Jok step for step, and as soon as Hurst sat, Jok started scoring. Hurst would come back in an put a lid on him. It won't show up in box score, but it was impressive.

Carlton is my favorite player on this team. His impact will never show up in a box score, but he is an incredible defender.

Having Hurst on the opponents best offensive player is like a shut down corner in a passing league in football. They are immensely valuable. I think Mooney is probably my pick for MVP of the team but if anyone thinks it's Hurst I would have absolutely no problem with that.
