Props to the UND posters that still carry the "Fighting Sioux" in their handles and avatars.
I have a couple of questions for geauxsioux:
Which has improved more from last year, UND's offense or defense? Which players that didn't play in last year's match-up are contributing this year?
It's going to be a great game, looking forward to it!

Odd that we don't screw sheep? To each their own. Come on - someone has to say it, right? I don't want to be the one - it isn't really my style. But I feel it has to be done, so OK fine... Let's leave the XDSU's out of this.

North Dakota guy here! Can't wait for the weekend! Making the trip down. Should be an excellent game to watch. My question to you guys is what's the tailgating scene/spots like for the visiting teams? We have a 19 passenger bus coming, and always love doing a lil tailgating before games. Thank You!

It's going to be a great game, looking forward to it! I honestly couldn't tell you who has improved more at this point. I'll go with the offense just because we returned all but one player and added a few good new ones. On defense we've had a lot of injuries at ILB and our NFL prospect All American CB tore his Achilles the last day of summer conditioning. New contributors include: LG FR Ryan Tobin, SO 3rd RB James Johannesson, TFR WR Izzy Adeoti, JR FS Tamas Stewart, TFR CB Hayden Blubough, FR OLB Ray Haas, SO ILB Corby Richman, and at some point one of all of TFR ILB Noah Larson, FR ILB Cam Hunt, and SR ILB Dejon Murray will become healthy enough to play. As you can guess we lost a bunch of LBs from last years team. Our current crew is a little light but lightning fast.

I don't think any of you Yote fans realize how terrible UND was playing til the 4th quarter of our game against you. We played 0 good quarters against Stony Brook or BGSU to start last season. We were a mess. Also I always laugh when you guys say we were gifted the game. We made the plays. We weren't handed a damn thing. You serious? You need to go re-watch that game. Strev gifted you guys 14 points by playing pitch and catch with your DBs out in the flat. The only thing more he could have done was gift wrapped it, put it on a T, and delivered it to your front door, or just handed the ball off to one of your guys in the endzone, which he practically did.

You should be able to park in the open tailgating spot in the lot across the street to the west of the Dome. If you have any questions or want to plan ahead and see if there is a spot in reserved tailgating just call the ticket office and they will connect you.

Our guys made nice breaks on the ball and made the play. If Strevler had walked over to Reyes and handed him the ball that would be a gift. There's no such thing in football. We made the plays down the stretch.

It's been a year, but the plays made by the DBs on those mistakes were about as impressive as a kick returner making a clean catch for a touchback. Strev made two horrible, unneccesary, ill-advised passes when we were in a situation that might have been won just by taking a knee the entire 4th quarter.

KELO is saying 60% chance of rain for Vermillion Saturday afternoon... high of 73. Tailgating should be fine... phew... that was my biggest concern.

I suppose NAU gifted us that late pick 6 to seal the Big Sky title? Out routes are now considered gifts?

geauxsioux,
You can call it what you want and explain it how you want but I would venture to guess that most Hawks fans would admit that UND got at least a little bit lucky to win that game with their huge comeback. I will say the same thing about the Coyotes when we beat Weber State the week before that. Whatever happened is in the past but last year should be branded into the minds of the Coyote players and coaches after what occurred on that day. The game could go either way but don't be surprised if the score get a little more in favor of the Coyotes then most UND fans think it will. First home game, revenge, the crowd, and energetic Coyote defense are all big factors in this game. I just think the emotional aspect will be hugely in favor of the Coyotes. Who knows if it plays out that way but I have a hard time seeing UND really getting a hold of the Coyote passing game. We will see of course but there are a lot of advantages for the Yotes on Saturday.
