Maybe because it is already morning now and the team will be up and starting their game day process. This is a game that the program really needs to win if they want to climb to the ranks of a team competing to be in the MVFC top tier conversation. Key to the game will be how the USD defense shows up. If they can 1. Control the run 2. Prevent the explosive plays 3. Get consistent pressure on the QB USD will win. That will be a tough list to accomplish - I believe that WIU is for real. USD can do it, but consider me a very biased believer however. USD has jumped out quickly in each of their first three games. That changed those games significantly. At some point that won't happen. I am anxious to see the Yotes get challenged, take a few punches, and then separate themselves late in a game. Safe travels to everyone. Hoping for a clean well played game with no injuries for either team - And of course a big Coyote win. |

WIU guys, how are the TV announcers for you? I don't quite remember how they did a couple years ago. Surely, they can't be as bad as the BGSU game...or Indiana State last year.

How true OBC. This is the first shake-out game for USD.
Right now I have them running the table, and quite handily in most cases, with a close game at SDSU. The only loss I see is to The Bison. It's an upset if WIU wins today.
No one, outside the Big Dakota Schools, is coming close to the offensive potential and the balanced attack the Yotes have on display.
ISUr is showing the best defensive potential with YSU and WIU just a step behind.
Todays game could turn into a true defensive battle. Both teams are devastating against the run, especially WIU, if neither breaks this will be decided in the air.
My take: The difference will be at QB. 3rd down conversions could be the key to the game. USD has the edge and Chris Streveler is the total offensive leader in MVFC.
