Regardless of any suspended players returning, I would expect to see greater playing time for many of these boys. What do we know about this? Do we know why they are suspended or when or if we can expect them back? |

All I am aware of was what was reported, that 3 players were suspended for the SIU game for breaking team rules? Not sure what that means, but I assume at some point a decision is made if they return or the suspension includes further games. Way above my paygrade!! Regardless, the boys that stepped in took advantage of the opportunity and showed they were prepared for the big stage and deserve the opportunity to see additional playing time. |

Well I don't know what it is either, but hopefully it's nothing too serious, as you don't lose two really good starters at the same position without noticing a dropoff in production. Yes we managed to keep their backup out of the endzone but I think we would agree that we were pretty fortunate to do that. He racked up quite a few yards passing. No doubt the replacements played big, but to ask for that kind of production out of them down the stretch would be asking a lot. But I guess if nobody has any idea what this suspension is all about then I guess we have no idea how long to expect it to be. In the meantime I hope we don't get any injuries to our secondary, I would have to imagine we are a little thin back there right now. |

I heard rumors at the tailgate but don't know what to make of them, if they are even true or the whole story. My guess is that they'll be back this year. Just a guess though.

Unfortunately, these things usually take a while to straighten out. There were two similar situations with football players that occurred while I was in school. Both of them were completely unsubstantiated claims and the investigations eventually proved that, but in both situations the guys in question were both out for about a whole semester. I have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior as I hope Nielsen does as well, but let's wait for the facts to come out |

1) Starting middle linebacker - out for season(Wessell) 2) Back up linebacker out (Woodard) 3) Starting punt returner and weapon on offense out (Cas) 4) 2 starting corners, 1 of which was on track to All conference at least and the other with experience and 1 of the better corners in the conference suspended 5) Another back up corner who starts on speacial teams 6) Starting OL Out indefinitely (Jensen) 7) Linebacker depth questionable 8) Just came off a loss last weekend 9) Starting Star QB gets injured and out of game WE BEAT A TEAM THAT AVERAGES 34 POINTS A GAME AND A SHUTOUT NO LESS!!! How can anyone get on theses boards and say anything negative and or criticize any player that played an awesome game last night with the heart and determination these 18 to 21 or 22 year old kids played with and gave a astonishing performance and win?? Never mind the adversity and distraction of the suspensions..which I’m sure the players know more than any of us do! This is the post of the year! We need to give the kids and coaches some credit for a job well done. |
