Believe it was a sprain to his knee, believe JVG said MCL pregame. Have to think it’s gonna be week to week just like the season.

Against the Coyotes, Nicholls undoubtedly played more like they did against TCU early in the season when they lost 24-10 and TCU is currently ranked 10th and will move up after this weekend. So Nicholls (despite some of the early predictions) can definitely play some good football!

Thanks Yotes for the correction! A&M is 7-5 and lost yesterday to 19th ranked LSU at LSU 45-21 so they're aren't too bad either but obviously quite as good as TCU this year.

Surprised no one has mentioned this, but the whole Nichols thing was kind of ridiculous. Did you know that the Yotes didn't even have a locker room? They did, however, have a locker tent. All they had to do was run across the field, out of the stadium, through a parking lot, across a street and down a walkway and there it was. It was near the softball locker room where they were able to use the three showers available which was very thoughtful. All in all it was an interesting experience. Unbelievable food, some very nice people outside the stadium, some total aholes inside, moved twice to get away from some total idiots, but the USD tickets were on the GA side so we were just mixed in with their rabble. I'd heard about weird voodoo things happening there, and all I'll say is the officiating...wow. If we hadn't been given that last fumble I would have said the fix was in, and I hate bitching about officiating. They shouldn't have even had possession because their QB was stopped short on the fourth down play, that from their coaches in the booth was word on the street. Big picture, win and move on. No one is granted style points. I'll be curious to see if we're treated the same way in Huntsville.

Wow. First class all the way. So glad their conference has cash to bring in the game. Maybe next time help them with facilities for visitors.

Since the field is named after the Mannings, youd think they could come through with a donation for better facilities. The picture i saw if the stadium from outside tge stadium reminded me of Howard Wood

There were those 5% type of fans sitting a few rows back from us. I had to move to the other side of the stadium or it wouldn't have been good. Totally classless. Interesting enough, we ended up standing with a local cop who offered to go over and straighten them out. We told her not to make it an ordeal. I wouldn't post the things they were yelling to my wife and I. Again, only noticed that 1 bunch and everybody else was gracious even after the loss.

Nichols and SD have no past history so why would they hold any animosity towards Coyotes fans. So much for that Southern hospitality. Every program has them unfortunately. If I was close to opposing fans I would probably want to have good nature conversation just to find out what football is like down south etc. Same would be true if Nichols had to come north. I can't imagine there would be SD fans giving a hard time to an unfamiliar opponents. Sorry you had to go through that. That is not to take away from the majority of good fans but I am glad you got to walk out of the stadium with a win after that type of treatment.

Went to the Coyote Report tonight at the Old Lumber Company. Joe Van Gor brought up the tent locker room situation and Coach Neilson really didn't want to talk about it. When Herbster was JVG's guest, he brought it up again in jest. Then mentioned that the whole situation with the tent locker rooms had been addressed and the NCAA had been made aware of the situation. He then dropped the conversation and failed to elaborate... Am curious to know if USD lodged a complaint? And if so, what, if anything, would be done about it?
Anyone else there or listen to the show?

He then dropped the conversation and failed to elaborate... Am curious to know if USD lodged a complaint? And if so, what, if anything, would be done about it? Anyone else there or listen to the show? Just got back from Louisiana and New Orleans. I would assume that Herbster addressed the situation with the NCAA since they won the bid to host the first game and then had inadequate facilities. The announced attendance was just under 10,000 and I assume we could have done close to that and considering no other 1st round game had more than 7,000 fans ( herosports.com/fcs/football-fcs-playoffs-nicholls-top-attendance-first-round-ajaj) there is no reason why appropriate facilities should not be a part of the bidding process. The tent across the parking lot and street and the 3 showers was a complete joke. My experience with the fans was great and enjoyed some incredible gumbo and catfish at a local tailgate. The fans around supported their team but were never rude. Overall, the weather was great, fans were fine, and New Orleans was a blast, but the facilities at Ferris St were not much better than what you see at WIU which are the worst in the MVFC. Talking to the Nicholls St. fans, they felt their team played their best game of the year, similar to their play vs. Texas A&M. They were clearly better than advertised. Our team played well and after the tough last few games of the regular season, this team needed a good win to get some momentum back. This game helped get our confidence back. Now it is time to build on that momentum and take it to Sam Houston. Here is a Pic of our "Locker Room"

Although there were a couple of drunk fans that felt the need to pop off at any and everything, overall the experience there was good. They were gracious in defeat and disappointed because they told me they had played their best game of the year by far. They also said Sam Houston State was one hell of a team.

The show is worth the listen. JVG basically eluded to other issues and that rest assured the ncaa has been informed. I’m sure the administration doesn’t want to embarrass Nicholls publically and look like whiners but it sounds like it was an unfortunate situation and the team showed a lot of maturity not letting it distract them.

I was told they were in the middle of renovating their old visitor's locker room. And it was definitely ridiculous, a fricking tent. Doc
