Hypocritical Power 5 breaks off and NDSU is voted into the Big 12 and is the only Dakota school in the Power 5. NDSU adds hockey and their the only Dakota University playing Hockey at the highest level.
Augustanas arena seems a little small. The State of North Dakota will not take the gift of the Ralph Engelstad Arena untill 2030. Why?
Augustana U. says there looking to go D1 in 2030.
Denny T. Sanford is basically handcuffed. If he was going to put hundreds of millions to make Auge D1. It might have to wait until he's passed.
Grand Forks, Brookings and Vermillion have something in common. The money media political power is in Sioux Falls and Fargo. I'd assume many most in Sioux Falls want D1 in Sioux Falls.
D1 Auge push looks to have some pushing back. It looks like there winning.

I'd love to see Northern Colorado in the Summit and MVFC. Be even better if it would kick Youngstown to the curb.

A seven-member Summit Football league would be awesome. Maintains our rivalries, less travel to the far east, etc. It would be just as tough, but it would also free us up to schedule 5 non-conference games instead of 3! Get two money games in there, a couple of cupcakes at home, and a Big Sky team. Or two peer-type teams alternating home and away, to guarantee a ticket-drawing non-con game.

The MVC adding Chicago State would be... desperate.

There are quite a few April Fool's jokes like this rolling around today that, honestly, given the bizarro world we've lived in the last couple of years I read and think it is totally plausible.
It is not crazy to think that several MVFC members would not want Murray State, or that the former NCC schools would love to bring in UNC to the Summit and form our own football conference. Hell, the top football schools in the MVFC are on the Summit side of the conference.

Only at the end when Chicago State was brought up did this seem implausible. It's more likely they'll close entirely before they add a football team.
