Nah! No coordination. I read it, sometimes for a laugh. Sometimes I find interesting information. The truth is that both universities serve important purposes for our state and our students. (One of my kids graduated from SDSU, the other USD.) I truly do want the coyote's to finish right behind SDSU, and ahead of the North Dakota universities and everybody else in all of the standings in every sport where we both participate. I hold no hate for the coyote's, even if I do chuckle at them from time to time.

Forced to follow? That's funny! The Summit would have collapsed. I suppose you think going independent would have worked? Nice try. I think that USD and SDSU will continue to independently evaluate opportunities in terms of what is best for their programs. I don't see either school feeling forced to follow the other school as you suggest. My opinion is each school would resist the appearance of having been forced to do anything that suggests following the other school.) I do not think the Summit "would have collapsed" and I suggest that the Summit is more likely to continue being a survivor in spite of the constant changes in conference alignment now and in the immediate future. And as far as being independent -- I think that is to be avoided at all costs and I'm wondering if you are bringing up that topic because you're thinking it is a viable option for USD. The loss of Pac 12 with the aggressive expansion of the Big Ten leaves a lot of uncertainty that may require a few years to shake out. Ya think the Summit has issues? This summer, the NCAA will classify the two-member Pac 12 as a "non-autonomous FBS conference". Washington State and Oregon State have real issues that suggest to me the Summit League's future survival is of "least concern". When the NCAA and member schools gain experience with NIL plus the relatively new 'transfer portal', we may be able to guess with more accuracy about the future of various conferences including the Summit Leage.

Wow. Goodbye WAC, we hardly knew ya.
Side note: not only do Southern UT and Utah Tech sponsor football, but Utah tech also has the men’s team sports we are always looking for: baseball, soccer, golf. Just saying
Another side note: Denver fans have to be pissed The WCC is adding Seattle and GCU.

In this climate of instability and realignment, I feel like there are opportunities in something like 4 directions at once for the Summit. Hopefully our leaders have a good plan.

Wonder if they'll make Denver an enticing offer to return to the conference.
