I'd like to see what he could do in the CFL. Seems like he would be a perfect fit for that wide open style of play. Average salary in CFL only $80k ($50k for rookies). Smart guy, doubt he wants the physical abuse when he can make much more with his brains.

Might as well live the dream and play while you can. Plenty of time to live in the real world later.

The way the game is going and with CTE his quality time after football might not be as long as you would think. It's a brutal game and even though he is a competitor it is still important for him to make the most of out of his time.

How many players have made the NFL after playing in the CFL? The answer is not very many.

I don't follow the NFL very much and I'm not going to look up anything.

If Streveler wins, would be first MVFC player to win the award. What was that bunny coach tweeting again? He had a great year no doubt...good kid from what I've read and a great student(thanks to him you guys didn't get skunked on the 37 MVFC academic selections). His odds are better than average I guess. Yet ,you want to bring up Eck's tweet...Eck is a little busy prepping for a game this Saturday so I'll step in. Streveler had a great season and thanks to him USD didn't have to suffer another 4-7 season. He entertained and built an excitement for your program, put butts in your seats. His stats are almost Tecmo like...Even with all that and the accolades he wouldn't start at SDSU. So yes I'd expect Eck would say that he's not his Payton award finalist. Congrats on your season Chris, I'll admit it was a pleasure to watch you and am glad that we don't have to face you anymore. get off our board jacka$$

I figured I'd get on here and post, I have a feeling many of you will be tempted to call me out again.
Congrats to Chris on another accolade, he had a great season. Also making it for the Yotes are Dagel and Greenfield, 2nd and 3rd teams respectively.

Congrats to all 3 of them. Well deserved for dagel and greenfield. Great honors for all 3 of these young men. yote nation should be proud.
The interesting part of Chris' story is the fact that he was not on any preseason all conference or all American teams. He was nowhere to be found. Yet here he is showing up big on a national stage. I think the one thing that separates him from the field is heart. There are other qb' s with better arms and might run better but I don't think any of them have a bigger heart. It's too bad there is not a way to quantify heart because I think he would win the award for that one too. Well done Chris. Well done.

I don't know where to find it, maybe over on AGS, but before the season started I was going back and forth with some Jacks fans. They were going on about their team and, in making the case for the Coyotes, I responded that we had the best QB in the conference. That set them off. I'm glad I was right!
