Was just perusing NDSU's schedule next year... They have SEVEN freaking home games next year and four away games. Now that's some scheduling!!! Very favorable for them to repeat with majority of schedule at home.
They have four home games in the month of Sept. -- good way to get your fan base juiced up about the season by playing in front of them often and early - as if the bizun faithful need juicing up.
Then in 2019, they have six home games (the Yotes have six home games as well in 2019).

7 in a 11 game schedule is insane. They are only on the road when the MVFC tells them they have to travel. They aren't playing FBS games again until 2020, 2022, and 2024, so that gives them the opportunity to host one more game each year. Paying Cal Poly and North Alabama (why?) to go to Fargo, and then host the front end of a home-and-home with Delaware before conference play.
2019 they would have 7 again (out of 12), but they moved their game against Butler to Target Field in Minneapolis. Just a baffling move to me.
I'm jealous though. We need our FBS games to help balance the budget. I wish we could just stay home and pay everyone to play us instead, knowing that we'd get that money back and then some on gate revenues.

When we played the salukis this year, I was very impressed with their size and they just looked like they had some dudes. But they were very undisciplined. If they get that stuff cleaned up they could be very scary.

Counterpoint: NDSU's success has helped to separate the MVFC from the rest of the FCS. Good for some, not for all.

Don't care. It's just going to make it that much sweeter when we knock them off their perch. We've beaten them while they've been on this run, now we have to take the conference from them and then a NC from them.

From BV: I was a bit in awe when I saw this. There may be little change in the Bison next year so it looks like the MVFC and the FCS have their hands full.

WOW ISU gave up 0 points per game. How did they not win the National Championship. You might want to check your source. The initial post was from 9/12/17. They had played Mississippi Valley State and Eastern Washington. USD had played Drake and Bowling Green. ISU had only played Butler.

Not to argue with you and maybe I’m reading this wrong but I don’t believe the numbers you posted are accurate. They didn’t average 56 points per game I’m sure. Opponents averaged more than 131 yards per game. Illinois State gave up more than 41 yards per game. If I’m reading this wrong I apologize or maybe I just don’t understand it. Either way, we all know the MVFC and NATTY run through Fargo. It’s time to take a detour about 7 miles west of I-29.

FIFY - still very impressive, but James Madison's stats are right up there. I expect the Bison to continue being excellent, but don't be surprised if your "hands are full" in the Valley next year, too.

I’m still a little in awe of their stats and was suprised to see the ones I posted were from earlier this season. Looking at both sets of stats USD was consistently present on both lists. It’s difficult to understand how it all came apart in Fargo last year. Could have been injuries, the suspensions, but the Bison had all of that too. A lot of these games are really close going in. Sometimes they get away for whatever reason.

Good read... Can't say I agree with his assessment that the MVFC is poised to have a down year, but something to contemplate... The one thing I totally agree with is that the School Up North is gonna be hard pressed to find any offensive traction this year with all their studs graduating (paraphrased of course). herosports.com/fcs/football-new-conference-rise-top-2018-big-sky-caa-bzbz
