I notice we don't have a RB commit, how are we looking at that position on the roster? We full up. Can't imagine we couldn't use at least one or two in each recruiting class.

This isn't really late, it's the early signing period date. NLI signing day will still happen this spring, and I'm sure there will be guys who will fall back or defer their choice to that date.
I like the early signing date. It allows those players who are ready to commit to commit, and the programs to assess where they are at, who is still out there, and recruit for need.

I like the early signing date. It allows those players who are ready to commit to commit, and the programs to assess where they are at, who is still out there, and recruit for need. I like it too. I think it prevents some late poaching, and allows the coach to focus on the late deciders. (and transfers) I was more referring to the fact that a lot of programs like to lock up at least one good HS QB and RB early in the process, and build around them. Like you said, most programs like to take at least one of each in a recruiting class, and they might be looking for a very specific type, that you can't just wait around and see if one falls in your lap. Obviously there are still High School QBs and RBs that wait until after the early signing day, but a lot of times those are the four-star and five-star types, and we aren't usually in on any of those. Transfers from FBS seem to follow a different schedule. This year there was a new "four game" season for red-shirting freshmen. Right now we are seeing some transfers making decisions based on how the season went. Soon we will see some transfers that are leaving teams because of coaching turnover. Then there is the "Spring Game" season, where transfers that failed to get starting roles in spring practices are leaving. And the other transfer season I can think of is the post-Summer camp transfers. Just my observations/assumptions. I could be way off base.

Maybe start a 2019 season thread and move some posts? Or just remove a certain helicopter parent from this board Lol why? Because what I say is true? You make me laugh. You need to accept others opinions. Am I as positive as most of you absolutely not. I don't make up crap so you can feel better. USD last year was very bad. It was easy to see but you all had blinders on. It's that simple.

Your opinion isn't terrible, but your presentation is poor, crass, abrasive, and a horrible look for you given that we all know your ulterior motive. Your kid finished his career, please move on.

Can I break the tension with the fact that SDSU football is using the hashtag #jackboys for their signing class. Reminds me of the unbelievably bad don’t jerk and drive slogan sd tried for about 2 days.

Reminds me of the unbelievably bad don’t jerk and drive slogan sd tried for about 2 days. Not that I know much about gangs, but I guess that term has a history with drug-dealing and car-jacking gangs in Florida and Chicago (check out Urban Dictionary). Also the NFL's Chargers use it for some reason(#jackboys). Still sounds dumb IMO. Especially considering the "flannel friday" midwest culture of the team. I'm sure the recruits think it's cool, and that's all that matters. I wonder if Stig ever requests footage of recruits cramp-flopping to evaluate? #crampboys

Checking our list against the Twitter announcements, everybody is in except Gerst and Moore (maybe they are just haven't seen an announcement and there is nothing to suggest they are going elsewhere that I have seen) and we're +1 with the addition of Nick Gaes from NW Iowa that I had not seen listed before.

Both are transfers, which I believe have a different process.

It is a little interesting that the two former high school teammates from Waterloo West have not signed yet.
