Dirty? Now that’s funny. They played hard, and if you didn’t like the physicality, blame the refs. They decide how to call the game, and I actually thought it was called pretty tight.
First time I’ve ever heard a Yotes WBB team called thugs by a sore loser. ISU fans are usually pretty knowledgeable and fair-minded, so I’ll assume you are an exception.

I agree with coyotecrazy. They were opposite of dirty. Both teams got called for touch fouls all game.

I wonder how good we could be if we got to play so many home games like the power conference teams do. The team wouldn't actually be better, but maybe we'd get those at-large bids we deserve.

Sorry, but South Dakota wbb dirtiest team I have ever seen. From the tipoff. grabbing, shoving, pushing, poking, blocking, thugging. unreal what they let happen...arm-barring and forearming every rebound they shoved an ISU player...they hustled but fouled the sh#t out of ISU They make Rutgers seem tame. Innocent looking Norwegian thuggery... The ISU fanboard has a great feature where you can mark agree/disagree/funny on each post. Anyway, this clown posted the same post over there, and the only response was voting 'disagree' but otherwise completely ignoring it. I think the positive reputation of ISU WBB fans stays in tact and we can all try to recall mitch with the gambler guy when we need a laugh. |

Congratulations to the Norwegian Mafia in the win over the #23 Cyclones. It does make one think about the ability to bring in P5 schools to visit and level the field.

I noticed that too, our new friend, mitchcumstain, was either completely ignored or refuted on their board. Every village has to have their idiot. Anyway, great win tonight obviously. Still thought it was a decent crowd given the weather factor. I know a lot of hardcores who didn't make it down from Sioux Falls and I don't think I would have risked it either. If you were there you could just feel the intensity on the defensive side of the ball, especially in the first half. They were as near to perfect as a team could be in every aspect. It was impressive to watch. |

The only ones who have escaped recently were a couple top 10 schools narrowly escaping sdsu. I don't know what benefit they see in visiting. They'll visit a nightmare environment, against a team that would likely be in the top half of their own conference (except way hungrier). There's merit in prepping your team for a long season but they would rather pad their record. I hope Iowa State comes back but I doubt they will. |
