Coaching Changes

Changes are happening!  Best of luck to the coaches moving on, thanks for your hard work!  Players need to stay positive through this process and focus on the responsibilities as a student-athlete to continue to improve the football program.  I hope the fallout of the recruiting efforts from exiting coaches doesn’t kill this seasons recruitment class.

Couldn't help but notice the twitter pages for Coach Bradley and Coach Moose no longer have anything USD on them?

I did hear we will have a new defensive coordinator. Don't know how it came to be. Things are going to look different next year.

There's just no hiding much of anything anymore. Makes me glad I'm not on facebook, Instagram or twitter. I even got rid of the welcome mat by my front door. It's great being retired and not having to answer to anyone. I highly recommend it.

Not that this for sure means anything, but at the basketball games today all the coaches were there with recruits and I didn’t see those two there.

Most first time users register when they have news to share. Maybe new sources? Don’t discard because they’re not on here all the time.

Mick said in his chat this week he knew a coach or two were leaving, and even hinted that it wasn't entirely football related. We all hope we can upgrade whenever there is turnover - it can be very healthy.

There has to be changes made when a team regresses the way it did this past season., and no you can’t say Strevy’s departure is the reason. A QB is not the reason for some of the positions we regressed in. I am not saying the coaches that may not be with the team are the reason for the regression because I do not know those details.
What I do know, and numerous posters of this board posted during the season is that Coach Nielsen is a proven winner and he will do whatever is necessary to bring this team back into playoff contention.
We develop personal respect and likes for the coaches but we must remember this level of football and higher is a business. Coach Nielson is all business!
I hope the best for the departing coaches for whatever reason they have departed, if so.

IMO this would be a tremendous candidate as DC. Very smart player, a winner, a massive competitor, and someone that knows what a winning FB program and a winning defense needs to look like. Also from Minnesota - Could amp up USD's recruiting success in Minnesota immediately.
