I hope this is only a rumor and someone can squash it in a hurry, but heard a nasty rumor that we might be moving the Dakota Days game to Sioux Falls?

I would understand if the game were to be moved this year to accommodate a larger crowd but it still seems to be a strange idea given that all other activities are in Verm.

Coyote Football Alumni,
We are just a little over one week into preseason camp and our preparation for the home opener versus Montana on August 31st. Practice has gotten off to a good start and we are seeing high-level competition at every position. Our emphasis during the first preseason week has been on technique improvement and scheme installation but we are already adding a lot of situational work and that will become an increasing portion of our practices over the next week.
Congratulations to Sr. Devalon Whitcomb, Jr. Mason Scheidegger, and Jr. Jack Cochrane who were elected to join seniors Austin Simmons and Darin Greenfield as captains for the 2019 season.
It has been fun to watch the continued progress of the Dome renovation project during the last month and it is really starting to take shape and look like a stadium again. The turf is scheduled to be down for practice on August 25th as we prepare for Montana that next week.
We will be holding an open practice for football alumni and season ticket holders on August 24th as part of a new Coyote Block Party event. Information for this event can be found on the website at Coyote Block Party.
I also want all alumni to be aware of a fundraising initiative being headed by the Coyote Brotherhood group. As of Monday night, they surpassed their second goal of $24,000! Once again, Coyote Family, we are amazed at everyone’s generosity! The new goal is to have 200 donors participate! Gifts of any size make a difference. More information on this initiative and the Coyote Brotherhood’s season-opening event can be found by visiting the Coyote Brotherhood Fundraiser webpage. All football alumni are being encouraged to join this group and participate in the fundraising challenge.

My hot take #1 is that neither NDSU or SDSU will win the MVFC this year. Perhaps a bit of wishful thinking.
