Yes. This is concerning... That's a big person. Hope he can play. Losing Ciurej is a blow though. He was highly touted coming out of high school and was having a successful career here. I think it would seem it would be hard to walk away from a scholarship, but if is heart isn't into it and he's not having fun, it certainly doesn't do justice to himself or anyone else to continue. Can't go through life being miserable. It's hard to sometimes appreciate the tremendous amount of work and time commitment theses players put in anymore. I wish him a bright future and thanks for your efforts as a Coyote. I wonder how much of this decision rests on the position coach....

I haven't seen any spring football articles by anyone other than GoYotes.com. It's pathetic that the Argus or Press & Dakotan cannot get a writer to the dome to check it out and interview players. I am starting to miss Mick, even if he didn't always know the answers at least there was content.

Game times starting to be posted to the schedule. 10-26-19 game a 4 pm start. Midcosn has a busy day. UND at noon, Dakota Marker at 2 or 230, then USD at 4. Beats a night game.

One thing I am optimistic about is the coaching staff letting Simmons run more this year. I felt they held him back to avoid injury as the QB depth was slim last year. With Moore and the others progressing, I feel Simmons can run more and make more of an impact in games next year.

Offense is gonna be fun to watch this year.

Good lord he's big for a quarterback, he looks like a tight end out on the field, has an absolute rocket launcher for an arm and has plenty of speed. I think the QB position will be nicely covered these next few years.

I'll save my excitement for when we actually get to see him out there. I felt the same way about Streveler. You just don't know what you've got until they actually take the field.

Just posted in another thread but my understanding is Simmons has grown leaps and bounds both as a player and as a leader. Last years team had no leaders that stopped the pettiness. I’ll take Simmons now as all league quarterback IF our offensive lineman get the job done. Simmons is the total package

I watched a spring practice and I think that Moore has increased the level of QB competition which is always a good thing. It will raise all of their effort and skill. I do agree with yoteforever that Austin’s game seems improved and he is demonstrating confidence. Tyler Tsagalis looked impressive as well. We are definitely deep at QB.

I wonder how much of this decision rests on the position coach.... . Absolutely zero. It was a personal decision and had nothing to do with coaches, players or the program. I wish him good luck in the future. This is not what he was saying in the locker room or the message he communicated to the OL players upon his departure... It was absolutely an issue with the current OL coach. We may have a bigger issue here as our OL situation is not looking good. We have zero depth, key players leaving the team and an extremely young OL going into the season. Last year one of our areas of strength was supposed to be the OL and how did that work out for us? Watching the Spring practices, it was apparent to me that our OL cannot stop a pass rush so the play calling was for quick hitting passes that protected the QB from getting mauled, mixed in with a little play action runs to attempt to keep the D off guard. How long is this going to work against the other teams on our schedule?

Consider me extremely concerned with the state of our OL.

If that's the case, and I'm not doubting what you say, it was in everybody's best interest that he move on and that's really a shame because he was a very talented player. If this was one of the internal dramas that was going on last year it's no wonder we had problems. Sometimes there can be addition by subtraction. I think everyone has concerns about the offensive line next season as it could hold the key to the success of the season, but the fact that three probable starters were out made for a thin corps this spring. And while I like the talent, it is young and what will be the depth is even younger. They'll need to grow up quickly.
