What happened to our amazing Defense? And agree with yoteforever, offense looks like we had no preparation for this game.

They are simply getting us to play their type of game.

They are simply getting us to play their type of game. If that's true, then the blame is more with the coaches.

Is Thayer just being a homer or is the officiating really bad?

It's awful. Worst I've seen in a while.

As awful as the officiating has been, coaching has been worse. We didn't look prepared. Offense looked selfish and out of sync. Defense didn't look prepared AT ALL.

Is Thayer just being a homer or is the officiating really bad? I did not see the video, but when the announcer says the opposing player gives the ref a snotty look it seems there is more than a bit of homerism. It was interesting that he also was expecting fouls and indicating the other team was flopping for fouls. 62% shooting by Denver and 22 turnovers by USD seemed to be big numbers for the game. 104 points is hard to beat....ask the SDSU MBB.

Is Thayer just being a homer or is the officiating really bad? I just really hate to ever lay it at the feet of the officials no matter the circumstances.

Denver had career nights from multiple players up and down the roster. They played extremely well so we can't take that from them. Loven was on fire and they all played with confidence. USD played good, DU played better.

I said after one half the officiating wasn’t good, but it was poor both ways. Refs didn’t cost us that game. Denver shot the ball exceptionally well. We threw the ball away a ton. Tonight the better team won. We will focus big time Saturday. We’re fine and as discombobulated as we were I don’t think it’s on any coaching. Games like this happen. I sure as hell don’t want another coaching staff for quite some time.
Time to suck it up and beat the Jacks. My 2 cents worth is crap happens. Time to move on.

I have been a long time reader on this board but never really wanted to post as people at times seem pretty opinionated without many facts. I find it comical that every time our ladies lose one or two posters immediately claim that it is the coaches fault.. I am sorry Coyote glory but you lose lots of credibility when you say the offense was out of sync when we scored 99 points. Obviously our defense was not to it’s usual standards which was the difference in the game. I do think Denver deserves lots of credit as they hit shot after shot and we surely need to hustle and get more scrappy. Saying all that I am not sure how that always lands on the coaching staff. Unless we are in the huddles or in practice and see the preparation it is kind of ignorant to give the blame to them. Sometimes your team loses and gets outplayed. After watching the game I did see several adjustments by the coaches from man to man then went to a 2-3 zone and even tried a 1-2-2 zone to try and slow down Denver. Unfortunately we were unable to get the job done. I am sure there is plenty of blame to go around and I am hoping the Coyotes are able to come out tough on Sunday.

We’re fine. Denver played exceptionally well. Let’s not blame anyone but just accept we got beat by a team that played really good tonight. In all candor, I wouldn’t trade Coach P and staff for anyone in the country. Let’s not blame anyone. We’re better than that.

Whether or not our offense was bad is I think debatable. They are terrible defensively and we had lots of bad possessions in the fourth quarter. As for coaching, teams don’t shoot 55 and 60 percent from the field against a superior opponent for a full game without a coaching advantage. Their looks were mostly wide open, uncontested. Conclusion: Are our coaches good? Yes. Were they good tonight? No,

Ok this is surely not what I want and this will be one of my last times posting on this sight because your negativity to coaches and even sometimes individual players simply bothers me. However you have the right to do what you want. Fact about our offensivel struggling in the fourth quarter is that we scored 34 points. Most points in any quarter in the game. I grant you that defensively was a struggle. My only point is you and I have no idea what they are being told or taught in practice and if the ladies are doing what is expected. As stated our coaches did not roll over and die as they tried different things and different defenses to ignite our ladies. It just did not work. I would agree we did not play with the hustle and toughness we typically do but looking at the coaches they sure seemed to be engaged and encouraging every bit of energy out of them. Who know maybe we have girls sick or hurt. Surely looked to be missing some zip. We win as a team and lose as a team and I will stay a loyal fan. If you want to discuss x’s and o’s And things that we could do differently as a team that would be a welcome conversation. To just say someone was terrible does not seem beneficial. Oh well have a good night and Go Coyotes!
