You guys ready? NDSU, Senior Day, 31 Game win Streak, Fargodome. 18,200 fans until halftime. let's just have a quiet week, make fun of sdsu and you guys just relax and don't show too much on film before your upcoming rivalry game. Holy Sh••! , NDSU thank you for letting us come into your venue and prove again where we are at with our program. I have been through your recruiting process with my boys and we obviously made a mistake choosing USD. Our loyalty to South Dakota was a mistake as a parent I regret. Neilson has surrounded himself with the best coaches from D3 and possibly D2 schools. He is a great guy to talk to and tells you what you want to hear but should go back to Duluth. Johannsen and Saga have no business being at USD and should join Johannsen’s previous boss at Mount Marty. Maybe Johannsen can be a hero in Yankton. He has no clue what’s on the other side of a D1 Offense for athletes. Please feel free to jump all over this post but you are weak in thinking USD can Compete in the Missouri Valley. Can Streveler come back to help Nielson out!

It is very apparent that there is ONE major issue on this team and it’s the lack of understanding of other teams personnel from a defensive perspective. SIU, WIU, NDSU, type teams play with big bodied personnel and want to establish the run game first and foremost from that personnel. If they can get off running the ball out of those groups, you are going to see it all day long with run game and heavy play-action shot plays. Exactly what happened. Yes, they play other skinny type personnel, but it all window dressing. They want to gash you running the ball and throw deep on you of it. SO with that said, WHY do we keep matching up with that style with skinny defensive back type kids on the edges??? Get outside LBs up on the edge and make it an in the box run with zone behind it to avoid the shot plays. BUT we keep trying to play a match defense vs that style and our defensive backs eyes get lost and there goes the WR wide open. I question, what we are seeing on film week to week. Instead of a “positionless” defense, we look like a clueless and confused defense. Puts way to much pressure on the offense to have to score every possession vs the real good teams.

When was the last time USD gave up more than 700 yards? When was the last time NDSU put up more yards? 10 yards per play on offense is a staggering statistic.

Looking back 4 years, does this mean the current NDSU QB has to "break his wrist" or gets injured for us to win? Bison supporters all point to this as the reason they lost. Evidently the other 21 players were crap. We lost our starting RB in that game as well and had nowhere near the depth of the Bison. If we win, I hope it will be "straight up" just like four years ago. History shows we can do it. Let's do it again. IIRC Wentz was hurt on their final offensive series of the game, but I'm pretty sure NDSU fans recall it on being the first play or pregame or some other non-true version. Wentz didn't play after the 1st half. What is the excuse this year? This game could have been 80 or 90 to 7. And why was Simmons in the whole game? No 2nd string QB? Scoring the 2nd TD is quite the accomplishment on the Bison 3rd string defense. Maybe Coach Entz should have kept Trey Lance in the whole game also.

We have some really great players but struggle with competing at your level. I hope we step up our program and look forward to playing you at our house in Vermillion next year! Good luck in the playoffs and hope you finish with the championship! Best of Luck!

Wentz threw an incomplete pass on 3rd and 5 with around 3:40 left in the 4th quarter (which followed a 2 yard Wentz run the play before). That incomplete pass was NDSU's final offensive play of the game. Re: "What is the excuse this year?" - well, you were the one offering an excuse, not me.

Very last Bison offensive play from scrimmage Wentz throws an incomplete pass in the right flat. It's sad that with all the success NDSU has had, you can't accept one minor stumble. Win with class, lose with class...most of your fans do, but apparently you haven't received the memo.

You're really hung up on it, so here is the box score showing Wentz played that entire game: www.espn.com/college-football/boxscore?gameId=400795735But say he left the game, Easton Stick was a very capable backup and led NDSU past everyone else that year.

Stop it. Wentz broke his hand punching a locker after the loss.

Stop it. Wentz broke his hand punching a locker after the loss. Exactly. He and Bo Pelini have a lot in common. I find it funny how every time a bison fan brings it up, it’s earlier and earlier in the game. Pretty soon they will be saying he hurt it two games prior to playing USD.

I find it comical that all you guys have to hang your hat on is a fluke win from 4 years ago. Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy watching the playoffs from your couch yote fans. You should be used to it.

Our defensive scheme is not putting players in the position to make plays. Those wide open passes in the middle of the field are broken plays or miscommunication which should not be happening at this point. The players look like they are confused. Coach Nielsen will need to make changes, big changes for next season. I am confident he will. Our line is catching not being aggressive. We play soft and our tackling is atrocious.
