I find it comical that all you guys have to hang your hat on is a fluke win from 4 years ago. Happy Thanksgiving. Enjoy watching the playoffs from your couch yote fans. You should be used to it. First of all, 4 years ago wasn’t a fluke. Be clear about that. Secondly, I don’t think anybody on here is “hanging our hats” on that win. Right now we’re in a tough situation. It’s hard to see a way out of this in the short term, so there’s a great deal of frustration. So then you come on here and spout your mouth off as if you had anything to do with it. You typify what other fan bases think of the Bison fan base. Arrogant. Have you earned the arrogance? Of course. But there’s (2) ways to handle success. First us be arrogant. The second is to be humble. We all know that’s not you. A very successful coach once told his team and fan base the following.....” when you lose say little. When you win, say less “. As a fan of NDSU you have a lot to learn. Coming on our fan board saying what you did tells me IF you indeed graduated from NDSU you didn’t with honors. Nuff said |

As you can see by my posting so "regularly here" read that with sarcasm if you can I came over out of morbid curiosity to see what was being said and I found your fans lamenting the loss and discussing ancient history and claiming it to be the norm. If you want to be mad don't get mad at NDSU fans get mad at your own administration/coaching staff. Carry on. "Nuff said" |

Suggestion: Attacking the poster like that doesn't seem to serve any legitimate purpose. If you don't like the message, ignoring the poster in most instances probably the better course. Meanwhile, Yotes have another big contest coming up on Saturday. The NDSU game is history. |

what most people fail to realize is that last year was the make it or break it year for this program. it was already established before the season started that this program failed their test. this year only legitimizes that. Anyone that expected that the Coyotes were likely to compete in this game were in denial. For the first year in years i dont even bother watching anymore because it is just not worth it. i was too busy watching a team that actually gets it play in Utah yesterday instead. the culture will only change when those around it stop making excuses and demand accountability. i wonder how many people actually think the Coyotes will beat SDSU next week.

Last year was coming off a playoff win, that was not the "make it or break it year". This year should have been critical following a step back though. The basketball game tipped at 1 and was over probably sometime in the 1st quarter of the football game. If you're not interested in watching then leave it at that. |

You guys ready? NDSU, Senior Day, 31 Game win Streak, Fargodome. 18,200 fans until halftime. let's just have a quiet week, make fun of sdsu and you guys just relax and don't show too much on film before your upcoming rivalry game.  Holy Sh••! , NDSU thank you for letting us come into your venue and prove again where we are at with our program. I have been through your recruiting process with my boys and we obviously made a mistake choosing USD. Our loyalty to South Dakota was a mistake as a parent I regret. Neilson has surrounded himself with the best coaches from D3 and possibly D2 schools. He is a great guy to talk to and tells you what you want to hear but should go back to Duluth. Johannsen and Saga have no business being at USD and should join Johannsen’s previous boss at Mount Marty. Maybe Johannsen can be a hero in Yankton. He has no clue what’s on the other side of a D1 Offense for athletes. Please feel free to jump all over this post but you are weak in thinking USD can Compete in the Missouri Valley. Can Streveler come back to help Nielson out! |

I used to go the the SDSU board and try to have civil conversations or debates. I would be called names or had very unreasonable things said to me that the MODS never took action. Twice I specifically asked one of you ( you know who you are ) but action was never taken because you didn’t want to challenge or admonish one of your fellow posters.
Secondly, I always had the guts to log in under yoteforever and take whatever was thrown at me. I not once changed my login name or email unlike a certain poster in this thread. Although it would’ve been inappropriate to say we’re friends, I certainly had respect for you. I never went on your board and pretended to be a Jack fan and guide narrative.
The poster elcoyote so called attack came on this board with no other intention than to provoke trouble. 40 years ago growing up in small town America we called them pricks. Elcoyote didn’t say that.
To the poster that knows who I’m talking to don’t pretend to be a Coyote fan. I have read many of your latest posts on the Bunny board bashing USD. You can’t have it both ways.

To the actual game on Saturday.
The USD defense is bad. 700 yards of offense given up will not win any game. NDSU's OL mauled the Coyotes all game, even the #2s did. Be ready for this for the future because this Bison team is very young. 8 on offense are back next year with the return of probably our best RB (Seth Wilson). DL needs to significantly improve to challenge the top of the Valley. Bison ran for over 400 yards.
Actually, I didn't think the Coyote offense was that bad. Decent scheme for what they want to do and Simmons is a good runner in space. Against mediocre defenses, the Coyote offense can produce some yards and points but against an elite defense like the Bison, they will not consistently move the ball. But Simmons seems like he is all the offense, esp in this game. Scrambling and designed runs were a lot of the yards.
SDSU is going to run the ball. I would.

We all know our defense is bad. Something that needs to be fixed. That's why before the game I said our only chance was to get some turnovers and turn this into a shootout. That didn't happen.
The same thing applies for this week against State. The last game if the season we're not just going to turn into a lockdown defense. We're going to need to make it a shootout with timely turnovers we can convert to points.
Then take the off season and retool the defensive side of the ball. I'd put a high priority on recruiting defensive players, especially the front 7. Emphasize defense because we're going nowhere in this conference unless we become a good defensive team.

I couldn’t remember the stats from that game so I went back and looked. Actually it was an ass kicking. I don’t hang my hat on that game and I’m thoroughly pissed we have regressed, so be clear about that. But don’t come on board and make provocative statements rubbing our face in your crap and make irrational statements like you did. The stats clearly show it wasn’t a fluke PLUS we had 2 turnovers and you had ZERO. Good luck to your team the balance of the year. Keep doing your thing |
