Can't make a shot. When you've only really got three true threats and two of them are 4-for-19 you're going to struggle. They're honestly lucky it's only nine.

For a while I was thinking it was good sign that the Yotes are shooting so awful but SDSU hasn't run away. Get a few shots to go in and the game will swing. It now looks like the Yotes are getting frustrated and want to shout at the ball to go in.

Of course we have the worst shooting night of the year in Brookings. And we don't get a home game in the series which is also crap.

I love how AJ kept his starters in the game when the Yotes switched to bench at the 5:00 mark. #classy

Oofda. We haven't seen that team this year. Need to just shrug it off and get back at it tomorrow.

Bonus prediction: a below average shooter for SDSU rains in 4 or 5 3pters, seemingly out of nowhere, to give SDSU much-needed points. Double Bonus Prediction: Both Watson and Arens are fully healthy and both play 15+ minutes. (OK, that is more 'wishful thinking' than 'prediction'.) Unfortunately, my bonus prediction was the only one that came true. Although Arens got some solid TV time, so I'm giving myself half-credit for that one.

Just wasn't a good night for us. The optimistic perspective of this game is that the game was a blow out not because SDSU had a special performance, but because we were ice cold. That's much less concerning than giving up 90+ points.

I love how AJ kept his starters in the game when the Yotes switched to bench at the 5:00 mark. #classy First time he's won this game in a couple years. Wanted to make it a statement I guess. Think about it from his point of view. He knows he's been the inferior WBB coach in the state since Amy Williams arrived in Vermilion.

I thought Irwin was really good with her shooting tonight. I’d like to see her stat progression through her career.
Jacks had a good game plan, and we didn’t respond. Hopefully we adjust tomorrow.

They're definitely going to adjust (and make some more shots) but again this is what I was worried about against good teams for this squad. If Lamb isn't making perimeter shots, who does? There's just so much pressure on her, Sjerven and Korngable to produce all the offense. They desperately need somebody else to step up and take some of the load off.

I didn't expect us to win, as I don't think we have looked like the better team this year and we were at their place, but I did expect a closer game than that. State is very good. And like waterboy said, we aren't a great shooting team. We can't act shocked when we have a bad shooting night. But it's not like we can't beat them. Hopefully we have a hot night tomorrow.

Definitely can beat them but Sjerven and Lamb gotta get 45-50 combined.

These things happen. Suck it up for 24 hours then you’ll see a different Coyote squad tomorrow. Today’s their day.
