I mean, they won head to head and beat a Gonzaga team that beat the Yotes. I like the belief but the evidence thus far isn't on your side. Very true, they also got zaga at home. Empty Frost or empty Pentagon shouldn’t really matter outside of jersey color.

Yotes missing Monica and kyah tonight. Need a scoring threat at the 4 because sell and was able to rest on d and plug the lane making it difficult for sjerven.

Let’s move the games to verm today since it doesn’t matter. I totally believe that. Anybody thinking there’s much of a difference in “home court” this season at the college or pro levels is just making excuses. I’d feel the same way if these games were at the SCSC. It’s just not much of an advantage. It’s certainly not something that I feel swung results because the Yotes played Gonzaga in Sioux Falls and the Jacks played them in Brookings.

Per this article about the home court advantage for men's teams, home teams are winning 57% of conference games so far this year. Last year home teams won 61% of conference games.

That makes some sense that it is down, but still an advantage. Besides fans, there is a comfort level of playing in your own gym, along with sleeping in your own bed, normal roommates, etc.

Disagree, I could still clearly hear the boo birds last night. Call Douple and have him move all sporting events which were magically selected in brookings and move them south. No excuses, thanks

My thoughts on last nights game: 1) SDSU shot the 3 much better than they have in recent games. Their shot the 3 44% last night compared to 26% in conference games coming into last night. 2) USD shot the 3 worse than the had in prior conference games. Seems like they missed some pretty good looks, but SDSU's 3 pt defense is statistically the best in the league and USD has not shot the 3 very well this year as they are only at 33%. 3) More concerning was USD's overall field goal percentage of 28% last night. Coming into last night, USD was at 48% and SDSU was giving up 42%. USD was getting nothing close to the basket. SDSU followed the same thug ball defensive strategy they used in the Premier Center last year. USD's inability to hit from the outside made this strategy even more effective. 4) SDSU is a good defensive team and when they don't have to defend all 5 positions, they become even better. USD really missed Arens last night. The big 3 took 45 of USD's 67 shots last night and only made 13 of those shots for a 29% average. Krull had a real solid game going 4 of 9 and Hansen played decent for a freshman going 1 of 5. The rest of the team only had 8 shot attempts making only 1.

I'd really like Ugofsky to head-fake, 1 dribble, shoot from 8 feet out. Make them guard you or pick up a couple fouls.

Pretty ugly first half again. At least making some shots today, that's the only difference. Biggest tying I keep seeing is the yotes act surprised when they catch the ball. They're catching the ball and not knowing what they want to do with it.

I don't know what channel/stream you are all watching, but here's the thing. I don't you who you are Dame, and after you telling me about Hulu's live sports twice per break the past couple days, there is no way in hell I'm signing up for Hulu. I sick of hearing about it. (though the song is catchy)

Tough loss. This one felt like Gonzaga - Yotes had no business blowing the lead and losing this one.
There will be second guessing, but it was back and forth and SDSU's post player was 4-5 from 3. Maybe USD woke up SDSU's shooting, maybe they over-achieved at home this weekend. Either way, if there is a round 3, it should be a lot of fun.

Tough loss but seemed like a good one. Other kids stepped up and were assertive. Definite growth game. Let’s see what happens in round 3.
