Guessing you are talking about the mid-major poll.

JD Gravina and Misti Cussen are two of the 31 voters listed.  Not saying they voted SDSU #1.  Could have been anyone, since the Jacks are regulars in this poll.  Let's chalk it up to a couple of low-information voters.  I find it interesting that Kansas City has two votes, and NDSU has none...  Cussen and Gravina have been around a long time, so they are probably good choices as voters.  Are they feeling the Roos?

Update: USA Today/Coaches Poll came out last week. Yotes at #47 receiving 3 votes. Other mid-majors:

It's great getting votes in these polls, but it does seem like all of the top mid-majors are in the "just outside the top-25" slot.  I'd love to play SFA, Delaware and Belmont right now.

Speaking of NDSU they have already lost by 17 to green bay and 13 to UNI. They did beat Milwaukee but haven't been very impressive so far.

Oklahoma plays Oregon today at 4:00 in the Battle For Atlantis tourney - it will be interesting to see how OU does.

Oklahoma led for most of the game but Oregon pulled it out in the end. The Ducks were kind of lucky to win. Good showing by OU though.

USD and SDSU fall out of the bracketogy predictions completely as UMKC is now considered the AQ as a 15 due to their record.

Yeah, hoops mom has it right. Creme just looks at the W/L record, at least for us lowly mid-majors. They’ll get it right once the conference season gets going

Since the NET rankings don't come out for a while, I think I'll track the RPI and the net efficiency in the meantime.

BTW, we would be currently ranked #18 in the RPI, playing the #5 ranked schedule....

Our RPI will decrease as our net efficiency increases with conference play. Then the NET score averages the two. I think we will be just fine.
