So WIU can cost us the 1 seed by deciding not to reschedule the game. New protocols so games unable to be rescheduled will be considered a "no contest" and winning percentage will be used to settle ties.

If this does indeed happen it would be 2 years in a row that the Coyotes would be screwed by Summit League scheduling and/or tie breaker procedures. Don't we all just love this league and how it favors the Coyotes. The Summit totally deserves to lose the Coyotes from their league. Gosh how much I would love to get into the Valley all sports league about now. Herbster how about a call to their league office. Lets create our own path.
Even if SD doesn't intend to leave the Summit it would be super cool if they allowed info to leak that they were considering leaving to get a fair shake in the future from this league.

Here’s another snippet from the article:
“Rescheduling will be done based upon an agreed set of guidelines, including prioritizing the rescheduled games in the order they were lost. The rescheduled games will likely occur on Mondays or Tuesdays and the League will also take into consideration travel complexities along with trying to avoid having teams play more than six games during a 12-day stretch among other principles during this process.”
So with the potential 3 games of the SLT, we can still squeeze in one more game on this Monday and not run afoul of these rules. Omaha might be screwed out of a chance to earn the 8-seed, though. Because their game would put WIU over 6 (potential) games in 12 days.
If this game isn’t played we not only lose the 1-seed, but the regular season title. And don’t say that is meaningless.

Summit League needs to do the right thing here, but unless the new commish has real leadership skills, not expecting much.

... Omaha might be screwed out of a chance to earn the 8-seed, though. Because their game would put WIU over 6 (potential) games in 12 days... Actually I'm wrong. Since the WIU/Omaha game won't be happening tomorrow, it wouldn't put anyone over 6 games in 12 days. It still might be tough to squeeze both make-up games into that short time-frame, though. Will be tough on all the affected teams to not get time off right before the tournament. I wonder if Coach P might prefer not to play it due to that fact?

Very good news indeed. With all these games in a short period including the Summit League Tourney it looks like the Coyotes are going to need to really manage the players minutes and work on that depth.

Other than to Denver, do our BB teams ever fly during the conference season, or is it strictly a bus league? I recall that the women flew from Fargo to Macomb or Ft. Wayne in 2019(?), but it seems there was some unusual circumstance involved.

This is one thing we need to address. What these gals are asked to do is brutal. Play Thursday / Saturday then dricing 900 miles round trip to play this makeup game. Then have strong legs and no body fatigue for the tournament.
I’d like to raise money for a charter. Help these kids out.

How about this. Make Western Illinois pay for the charter or have to forfeit since they were the reason for the postponement.

Why should the coyotes have to pay twice for the travel assuming they were in Macomb when the postponement was announced.
