Based on some sleuthing tonight, I think it's a 2024 recruit that just committed. We will see if she announces shortly.

I'm now 98% certain who it is. But this is a public message board and let's just let the young lady announce. There will be plenty of time to discuss her history and her strengths. Let's monitor for an announcement and put something in the 2024 thread.
It is interesting to me that they decided on another '24 recruit. When Avila-Ambrosi decided against a 5th year, they could have gone the portal route, or saved it for '25 or '26. I'm not advocating for any of the options, but it's interesting. My hope is they found an under-the-radar player and based on her history, there is reason to believe in that possibility.

In addition to what I wrote above, I think it was yotewannabe who previewed some possible other roster movement after the season, so it's still possible they add someone in the portal or have an extra scholarship for a future high school class.

Also, since it's late in the process and past the national signing days, it's possible she's signed and the announcement will come from the Yotes.

There is a second signing window, usually in April. Often, this is used for D2 or D3 players, and certain other sports that don’t have the November signing window.

Checked and the spring NLI signing for D1 BB is 4-17 to 5-15. FB is 2-7 to 4-1 for D1.
For fall sports the portal is
4-15 to 4-30.

I think I have an idea who the new commit is. I’m wondering could she be a walk on with it being this late? I was hoping for an in state girl. Not sure there really are any out there though! But with graduating Hanson it would be nice to keep some local flavor on the roster. Some may not agree with me, but i believe it adds to the local fan base. However, I realize you can’t just recruit in state girls for that reason.

I don't think it's likely to be a walk-on based on some past tweets about her from different prep write-ups. But I don't know for sure.

I updated the recruiting/roster matrix (first post) with the new transfer players. I'll take Demers and Bergstrom off once they find a new school, or are taken off the official roster.
