That game was a bad one. We lost TJ quite suddenly, and at that point in the season that was pretty much our one dimensional offense. MSU was the better team that day, but i'm not convinced they were the better team that season. Unfortunately they lost to NDSU in the playoffs, most eastern fans were hoping for a rematch so we wouldn't have to hear about it anymore. As the old saying goes: You don't have to be the better team. Just the better team for that game. Hope the Yotes are the better team Saturday.

***** TSN ***** www.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnform.aspx?c=sportsnetwork&page=cfoot2/news/news.aspx?id=4434902No. 1 Eastern Washington Eagles (0-1) at South Dakota Coyotes (0-1), 5:05 p.m. (Midco Sports) Series record: First meeting Last meeting: None What to know: Eastern Washington came within one play of stunning Washington and quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell picked off where he left off in the FCS Championship Game, throwing for 473 yards, the second-most in school history. While Mitchell impressed in the season debut, the Eagles need to improve upon the turnover margin they had against Washington. Their 4-0 turnover differential negated a 504-250 Eastern Washington advantage in total offense. South Dakota benefits from getting the defending national champs at home, as the Eagles have posted a perfect 8-0 record on their red turf, which has become affectionately known as the "Inferno." Prediction: Eastern Washington 41, South Dakota 17 ***** TSN ***** I myself, don't think the EWU defense will hold USD to 17 points.

***** CSN ***** www.collegesportingnews.com/content.php?586-Hornet-Win-on-Saturday-Shows-Their-PotentialEastern Washington (0-1) at South Dakota (0-1), 5 p.m. This is a game I will attend this Saturday. On paper, the defending national champion Eagles should handle this game, but they are coming off a game that they statistically dominated over FBS Washington but lost due to turnovers, 30-27. South Dakota is also coming off a tough FBS loss to Air Force 37-20. The DakotaDome is not an easy place for road teams to come into and having to travel half way across the country is not an easy trip for the Eagles. Because of that, I think this game will be closer than people think it might be. It will be especially true if the Eagles continue to allow the turnover bug to bite them. Stopping dual threat quarterback Dante Warren from USD will also be difficult. The Coyote defense will need to stop Eagle signal caller Bo Levi MitchellĂs passing attack. I think Eastern Washington will go home with the victory but the game will likely be just a touchdown difference. Eastern Washington 38, South Dakota 31. ***** CSN *****

Good luck today. I know very little about either team. I watched part of last year's championship game on TV in a sports bar. It wasn't the main attraction there than night but they were nice enough to have it on one of the smaller screens for me. Eastern Washington can be pretty explosive so you cannot be comfortable with a lead against them until the final ticks.
I hope you will cheer for my Jackrabbits today. I am one fan who feels that we South Dakota people can stand together when we aren't playing against each other.

Living out of state, I'm forced to watch the video feed. 4th quarter...game is not yet in hand...
Where the hell did all the fans go? The stadium looks empty on the video. Very sad.

Congrats guys. Your team was obviously well prepared and executed their game-plan to near perfection. It was obvious to me that EWU just thought they were going to walk in there and grab an easy win. Pathetic performance by a team with such lofty expectations, but I'll give you guys all the props in the world. Great job.

It was fabulous being there today and being able to see the kids' reactions as the game went on. Very proud of them, the coaches and of being a Coyote today. If USD isn't on the front page of the Argus sports section tomorrow.... I'm canceling my subscription!

Great game against EWU who certainly was a quality team!! Was at the Air Force game last week--way to hang in there and play hard till the end--gave Air Force a scare!! What if the block in the back on the first play TD run had been called or if the non-existant chop block had not been called on 1st and goal from the 2?? GOOD LUCK YOTES THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!

What an amazing win! Jeremy Hoeck of the P&D called it earlier in the week and I was against it. I just thought EWU was a buzz saw, but once again USD shocks everyone with a game that they had in hand from start to finish!
Yes, there were some bumps in a road and things started to crack, but USD's defense played great and two huge interceptions by USD's defense. Mitchell was going to threw a couple up and USD took advantage.
There is no reason why USD shouldn't win the Great West now!
