It’s a travesty to see guys that have an opportunity to contribute and build their resume leave for perceived greener pastures. The transfer portal is becoming a disaster. Especially when they may not be as coveted as they think. I can understand if it’s a guy that sees the writing on the wall and know he has little chance of playing or drifts to a lower level to play. Word on the street is quite a few of the WRs leaving are because of the WR Coach. Not 100% sure, but that would be interesting to see how it is handled internally. Hope none of our top WRs are thinking in that same direction. Apparently the WR coach issue has been addressed. Any clarity on what “addressed” means? |

The spring roster has been updated on goyotes. Here's a list of underclassmen who are no longer listed (no seniors included - I assume the majority are done with football and won't utilize an extra year).

In the new era of the CFB transfer portal there is going to be turnover every season. You just can't get caught up in it all and think the sky is falling, unless it is a situation like Auburn is having. There will be an expected amount of turnover ever single season.

Now this is something you don't see every day. Kind of like switching from the Packers to the Vikings or vice versa. It'd be my guess that it has something to do with a grad program we offer that they don't. Be interesting to see the State fan's reaction to this. I'm sure there will be many "welcome back" comments directed his way by the bunny faithful during the game in Brookings next fall. Good player though. Glad we nabbed him.

I know there has been a lot to cover regarding the men's and women's basketball programs lately, but man is it quiet around the football program right now. The argus seems like it has almost daily updates from Zimmer on the rabbits spring season. For USD football it crickets.
Has anyone seen/heard any updates on spring roster, depth charts, Camps development, how newcomers are adjusting to Coyote football, etc.?
I know a lot of what gets out during the spring is mostly coach speak and smoke and mirrors, but give us something. A tiny morsel of Coyote football to help us out of hibernation.

I think you'll see things start to pick up. I know the Argus Leader and KELO were both at practice this morning. Our video crew caught up with Carson Camp and Coach Nielson this morning and those videos will be posted to social media soon. We'll be shooting a few more videos with student-athletes and coaches after practice later this week. Expect some spring game information soon as well! |

Rumor has it that Jailen Holman, Antonio Outler and Vincent Starling have left the program? Can anyone confirm that? Also Cody Case has yet to be at a Spring practice?
