Really fun atmosphere. Proud of the effort that the team played with. Could definitely tell Michigan prepared really well for us.

SOOOO PROUD of this team and especially the SENIORS!!! Hillmon has had an amazing career too. Over 2000 points and over 1000 rebounds is crazy and the Yotes lost to her team by only3 and fought, scrapped and clawed the whole way!! The Coyote fans were very loud to TV!! Thanks to all who could make the trip!!
And yes the future is very bright for Coyote women's basketball!!!

What’s said in the press conference is what I’ve said the past few years. Not only are these ladies very talented basketball players, but they are even greater young ladies. I could tell story after story of things I’m aware of they’ve done for people but I’ll save that for another time. Dawn builds programs the absolute right way. You want this to continue? Then get involved.
1. Buy season tickets and go to the games 2. Join Howling Pack at some level you can afford but also move the program forward 3. Wear red
Hannah, Chloe, Liv, and Regan…thank you for incredible memories. You are awesome young ladies. A very SINCERE thank you

Hard for me to sum up how proud I am for this team, and for the fans.
I think one of the things that made me the most proud was to see how upset Hannah and Chloe were in the post-game. Some outside observers might have expected mid major players to just be at peace with the loss, and just happy to have played competitively in a program-first Sweet-Sixteen.
Nope. If you want to achieve greatness you have to learn to expect greatness. And that’s when some inevitable failures start to hurt more. But that’s what it takes. That’s the lesson they taught me yesterday. Hopefully they have instilled that in the underclassmen, too.

A team from Vermillion, SD was inches away from the Elite 8. I'm forever grateful to this group for that.

I loved the aggressiveness and toughness of your team. I honestly disliked you guys at first having such a big crowd advantage and a very frustrating defense, but by the end of the game I was just impressed. Good luck next year.

Amazing effort and run by our Lady Coyotes, so proud of their heart, effort, tenacity, and never give up attitude! We definitely belong, and have for several years now. The respect this team has generated for SD basketball and for the Summit League in general has been amazing and will serve us well into the future.
We played well enough to win yesterday, we just didn’t make enough shots, shots we usually make. That’s the way it goes sometimes in basketball. Nothing to be ashamed of in that performance! Outstanding effort, outstanding team, and extraordinary seniors, seniors that Coyote nation will celebrate and miss dearly for many years to come! Go Yotes!!

Thanks Wolverine 01 for your thoughts!! You have a great team and your D was definitely one of the best we faced this year and IMHO Hillmon was the best big we faced in the 3 games!! Good luck moving forward and next year!
Hopefully we can meet again in the tournament!!

I think it would be good to have a recognition event of some type for this special team in a week or two as emotions settle down to end the season on a high!
Thoughts? Ideas?

A lot has been accurately posted about this team, a couple of bullets, for my 2 cents:
* Keep the goals high, this team showed that USD (Summit League) can compete with the top teams. * Watching the potential next matchup, honestly feel that USD would have played Louisville/Tennessee equally as close as Michigan. Had we advanced it would have been the Final 4 before I felt that it would take an extraordinary effort for Yotes to win. * Yotes WBB and Jacks MBB represented well at NCAA, hopefully the NCAA selection committee will view Summit League differently in future years. * As Coach says, enjoy the precious present. It has been enjoyable to watch this team, this coach, and our Super Seniors! Thanks to all!
And yes, join or increase your support of the Howling Pack!

That was a tough loss to end a great season. I thought the women would get the OT. It was a confirmation of the NET score for the Coyotes.

People need to realize how lucky we are to have this quality of womens basketball in Vermillion. How lucky we are to have a coaching staff this awesome at USD. I hope next season the ladies get the fan and student support at games that they deserve. Wichita was fantastic. Hope we can start getting 3000 at home games and fill the student section.

She has probably been highly sought after for 3 or 4 years at this point. She managed to get the team ranked and an at-large bid in 2018-19. That point onward I'm sure she would have had no problem "moving up". She's seen the big time and mentored under a coach who moved up to Michigan only to resign and move back to Green Bay. Maybe she doesn't want it? Something has kept her around. Let's keep making it easy for her to stick around.
