Sorry for this just being a series of tweets, I’m a little distracted. Will have more later…
So happy to see the players smiling…

It sure seems like both the WBB and MBB hires are kind of no-brainers - great job by Herbster to land them.
My top concern in the coaching change was that the culture of the organization could drop. The amount of off-the-court experiences these girls have is pretty amazing, and certainly puts them on a better trajectory post-playing than most programs. To land one of the architects of that culture is a huge win.
I'm excited for this upcoming season!

I like the hire but we are back on the 4 year plan to get back to the top even if Maddie & Watson return. It is what it is.

We have pieces in place and incoming that can counteract any team in the league, if Maddie and Kyah return. I think with the right coaching style, the Yotes can contend in year one under Coach K.

Welcome Coach K!
I'm going to reserve judgment until I see the actual product on the court, but I think this hire will workout surprisingly well. She can lose a couple of transfers and still have enough talent on the roster to be in a class above the rest of the conference sans SDSU. She also gets to inherit an incredible culture and winning tradition that she helped to create. You can't ask for a better scenario for a young, hungry first time head coach to make that transition. There will be some growing pains, but overall, this will be fun.

If they could have found one who would have brought a staff with them with a coaching philosophy already in place, it would have been easier to hit the ground running. If there weren't any of those available that met with there approval, then it makes sense to go with someone with previous USD ties. But it will take some time to build a staff, and then get everyone from different backgrounds on the same page. Right now just a bunch of role players, tough when you don’t return and double digit scorers. There's scorers on this team. Coach P. just didn't need them to fill that role with regularity. I'm not worried about points.

Welcome Coach K!! Very excited to see what this team is capable of. Hoping our portal players return, Maddie and Kyah are integral to the success of our team next season. However, if they choose to move on the best of luck to them, I enjoyed watching them play and cheering for them. The next lady will have to step up and do her job. I’ll support whoever puts in the red and white! I think Kayla is going to do great things here, she has my full support. I think I’ll increase my level of Howling Pack giving this year to prove it!
