It's starting to appear that we might not be very good. Getting close to 6 quarters played and we still haven't scored this season. Thank goodness we got that fumble inside the 5. This looks like it could get ugly. That podcast might have known what they were talking about. Hopefully we can get some things going in the 2nd half. |

We are what we are. A top 30 fcs team. We get outclassed when we go up against better athletes. Our coaches are not good enough to scheme around our deficiencies. It's just reality. I am concerned by the lack of points though. 6 quarters showing zero is not good at any level.

Camp has never been a good deep ball guy. He throws with a whipping motion. Makes him good at rpo type quick throws into tight windows but has zero touch down the field. He's probably thrown 10 balls 40 yards down the field this year and receivers have only gotten hands on 1. Most aren't even close. He's really gifted but we don't call plays to maximize his strengths. Frustrating to watch.

I'm having a hard time with Jensen being a preseason all American or whatever he was.... Giving up sacks and taking penalties.
Just score for God's sake. 6 quarters and no points.

Our QB is awful and holding us back and theirs isn’t. Our offensive coordinator is not good and theirs is. Our defensive coordinator is late to adjust too many times. Other than that, it’s all good.

This offense is an absolute train wreck. Montana is very good. But my word we can’t do anything. How the hell are our RB’s letting free running blitzing LBers drill the QB by not getting a piece of them at all? OL is getting destroyed. Stupid penalties putting us in bad long to go situations. Train wreck. I am over the air raid offense.

We've got some soul searching to do on offense. Nielsen needs to decide how long he hitches his wagon to hi OC and QB. Might determine whether he still has a job. We're staring 0-5 in the face. At best, 1-4 if we beat Cal Poly. Two absolutely pathetic performances to start the season. Our most important player has looked like he should be playing NAIA. We're good on defense but we're not going to shut teams out. I haven't been this discouraged this early in the season in years.

It’s not the air raid offense that’s the problem. It’s the variety or lack of that matters. To run it effectively you MUST have a QB that understands the game and reads and is very accurate. And an offensive coordinator that will mix up the play selection based off what they are doing and down and distance. I’ve said it 100 times!! Funny thing is Montana hasn’t done anything defensively that’s crazy and I mean nothing, just well coached and where they should be based if the call. Very well coached on defense.

Defensively we have given the same coverage shell on every down. No adjustments except one line stunt the whole game. And by the way, they have attacked the boundary run game all day and we haven’t gotten the weak safety down to help once. Oh sorry one weak corner blitz also that missed the tackle.

What happened to the momentum that we had going last year? Having yet to score two games in is very alarming and not a good sign for the season. I get that Montana is probably better but if we can’t even put up points there’s no way the playoff committee is gonna consider us later on if it comes to it (which at this rate I don’t think we’ll even have a winning record)
