I’ll say it out loud, our defense played well enough to have this game be extremely competitive in the fourth quarter. Not going to say we would’ve won but I’m damn confident that it would’ve come down to the last couple possessions if our offense was worth a crap.
Missed a handful of major opportunities on missed throws for long yardage or TDs. Accuracy and panic is a major issue, not arm talent! Too many third and long situations because of stupid first and second calls or early down penalties. And when Bell only gets four balls thrown his way (and one of them was a nose diver skipped 10 yards short to him wide open on an extended play) with not one of them even close to catchable and all of them were catch and run for huge yardage or possibly even TDs, there’s major issues offensively. Only positive thing is Theis running the ball very physical and Elidor made some real nice plays. Get the rock to your best players, especially vs the real good teams!
On top of all of that, Montana is an extremely well coached football team, especially defensively and very diverse offensively which makes them very tough to beat.

Aiden Bouman. Why not? A four star, Iowa State transfer sounds pretty good at the moment. Carson is the same qb he was last year, okay, just okay, it seems like the game moves to fast for him sometimes. His "scrambling" looks flashy but it never ends in a play being made, it just buys him a little more time before under or over throwing his receiver. Watching the backfield and our defense bail him out every week is getting old. It's not the same QB we saw last year. He has absolutely regressed for whatever reason.

Well, he did just play against kstate and the 3rd ranked team in the country. Made some mistakes, but also had multiple drops and a oline that has multiple untimely procedure calls and holding calls that put camp in a tough spot in down and distance scenarios. I don’t see them sitting Camp unless hes hurt

Make excuses all we want, but layup throws need to be layups not coulda, woulda, shoulda. Those throws need to be completed 90% of the time because the good ones do. Yes, we were put in some bad spots because of untimely penalties or because we chose to take shots down the field on the first play of a drive in our own end which then put us in 2nd and long and ultimately 3rd and long, but there were multiple chances to “make” a play and we squandered every one of them except the great catch by the Tight End on the scoring drive.

This is pretty much where I'm at with it. The offense definitely hasn't helped him out at all, but the throws he missed yesterday were inexcusable. I doubt they'd sit him, but somebody needs to get with him and figure out what's going on. There's a lot of season left.

The Griz beat Portland State 53-16.
