Brownie Boy Someone’s a little salty. I love it. I was at the ISU game. Actually both Elidor’s and Bell’s attempted catches were right in front of me, so I had a bird’s eye view of both of them in full speed. Could they have been caught? Go watch the replay and tell me. One was ultra high on a layup throw and yes Elidor could have possibly caught it, but it’s a tough catch going full speed. Did the ball touch Bell’s hands, yes, but being full sprawled out diving in the air and touching the ball isn’t what I’d consider it touches your hands you catch it. An appropriate throw on that one gets a TD. Let’s blow up the ship is a great way to approach the issue. Was there too..disagree. Both tough, but catchable. That’s what separates great receivers from average. When the game is on the line you come down with that ball. No excuses, complete the act. Football isn’t always pretty but that doesn’t show up in the stat line. Making those tough catches might have kept them from being 1-5 today.

It's ok to say the catches should have been made but also the passing needs to be better.

We can agree to disagree, but go check out the ESPN replay and let us know if you change your mind.

We can agree to disagree, but go check out the ESPN replay and let us know if you change your mind. Probably not. As I was surrounded by USD fans who screamed, “Catch the effing ball!!!”….On both plays. But I’m not hanging the season woes or that game on two plays. This has been a disaster all the way around. I’m more interested in why? I don’t disagree with you for the most part on what should be happening to get the offense rolling, but I’m struggling to understand why the Coaches can’t seem to see it. I only saw one WR screen attempt yesterday and it was almost picked off. We try the slant way too much IMO. Why not more motion plays? Boot legs with a receiver or TE coming across middle in front of the QB. “Legal”pick plays to spring a receiver into open space. This offense is stale and looks like they run the same few plays or formations everytime. I thought when Bob took over play calling duties maybe that was gonna breathe some new life into the O. Looks worse than ever. Maybe they think the talent isn’t there and they try different WR rotations. Sometimes I have a hard time figuring out who’s in and who’s out. As for the QB play I feel like he’s never in any rhythm and that’s why he looks lost and not in command of anything. These 3rd and longs put him in a bad spot when the D is coming to Tee off on him and force a really crappy throw. Right now I can’t even say he’s a game manager. Finally, I agree the O line has been an issue for a long long time. That was going on in the Simmons days. Maybe the OL coach should’ve been shown the door with the OC. I have no expectations for this weekend. This team is just playing out the string and waiting to see what changes take place at season’s end.

Everyone needs to look at the bright side here and stop with the negativity. Basketball season starts in a couple weeks!
