Situation is starting to be VERY concerning. Could’ve hired a new HC and staff by now it would seem.

He's been quoted by two media outlets as saying they hoped to have someone hired by the time the semester starts. And I know there was someone on campus interviewing last week. If they don't have an announcement by Monday then he obviously missed his goal. Until then, I'm not concerned. |

You can add a defensive coach to the list of openings. CJ Robbins is joining the staff of Kenni Burns (who applied when Bob got the job) at Kent State.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say our top choices for an OC took other positions elsewhere. What other reason would there be for not having an OC in place by now? He was fired in September......
The only excuse I'd accept at this point is the new guy is on a staff that's still playing. And that list is getting pretty short.

Prediction- VB will fill it vacant spot before FB does. Very well possible. VB program is more attractive to its potential candidates than the FB program is to its. One has stability and success, the other does not. |

 My money on the new O coordinator. 1. Has USD background 2. Has called plays on a good D-2 team 3. Still coaching, so reasonable that it’s not announced yet. Other thoughts or names? |

Seems logical. Seems like he has always coached the run game. His grasp of passing concepts would be my main concern, but I know nothing of his play calling past.

All speculation at this point, but would be a perfectly good reason why it hasn’t been announced yet seeing that the game is Sunday. Who knows who it is but if it was Joe, he is a heck of a OC and would bring some terrific experience and success with him. Guess we will see.

I’m curious about NDSU’s OL coach. He has some OC experience and ties to Minn-Duluth, although his time their came just after Bob left for WIU.
