Good news is we’ll get to watch our team play on Friday of the Summit league tourney! An extra day of basketball! Go Yotes!

Don't know what to say about this team other than we're just not very good. At least they showed some fight today but lost to an average team with 8 players active. Defensively, we played hard I thought. On offense, even Larkin's is on the bench, there's about a zero percent chance there will be a shot inside the 3 point arc. Nobody else gets any kind of penetration and we just seeing the ball around and jack up 3s.

From Sweet 16 to 6 game losing streak against mostly sub-par teams…. A truly humbling experience.

They are prone to defensive lapses and often struggle to score. Hard to win consistently that way. Hopefully we see some of these young players make some strides and improve over the course of the year. Anyone who thought this was a reload versus a rebuild situation was fooling themselves. But I really didn't expect the rebuild to be this ugly.

Have to really work a lot on D fundamentals. Too many dumb (unnecessary) fouls!! We had 4 fouls in first 4 minutes of 3rd. Often just run into players or enough bump for a foul when not necessary. Must learn you play D with feet not hands. Often don't read where the O player wants to go (i.e. a layup) to get there first. Play off too far on hot 3 point shooters.
They will continue to grow. TNM trap was very good and was the difference plus two hot shooters and Yotes missing some open 3s. Considering all that the Lady Yotes hung really tough which was good to see!!
Hang in there Yotes and keep working hard!!!

Yes, we will get better and we need to give the team time. My biggest concern is recruiting and how this rebuild will impact our commitments.

We have some talented kids that chose USD because of the success and atmosphere that was built. We still have conference play so there’s time to turn it around and change the narrative. But one bad season can set you back even further if it ends up costing you quality recruits.

The players that were here the last couple years learned and played good defense. Where did that Go? Defense has been great the last 10 years. Not any more.

I’m actually interested to see how this team progresses. Obviously the injury situation is magnifying the issues when you have grange, pep, and the freshman all sitting with acls. Two best returning players transferred out to P5 schools. Then you look at hempe who has gone through two ACL surgeries I believe and just give her credit for being on the floor. I think she would have been a hell of a player without the injury situation. I would just like to see us sell out and give all the minutes to youngsters for experience purposes and build for next year, keep supporting the Yotes. Any college athlete puts a ton of work into what they are doing and even if they don’t get the results we all want you have to respect the work.

I think people confuse criticizing poor performances with no longer supporting programs.

Or confuse inconsistent performance with injuries, all new starting 5, new coaching staff, going from an all-time talented and very experienced team to basically a brand new one....

Having “the big 3” for an extra season was the best thing for this team and the worst thing for this team. The 3 ate up so much playing time that very few of our current roster got much PT. Now the lack of experience is glaring.

Curious, how many games does it take to lose the 'inexperienced' label? For both players and coach.
