Tori DePerry, 5-11 Senior Forward (Grad Transfer) Saginaw Valley State University (D-II) Shawano, WI Roster link
Senior year stats: 29 games played 29 games started 25 min/game 17.0 Points/game 8.0 Rebounds/ game 1.6 Assists/ game 3.2 Turnovers/ game 1.0 Steals/ game 0.2 Blocks/ game 46-33-71 shooting percentages First-Team All-Conference as a Senior good numbers of points and rebounds when only playing 25 minutes. Not terrible arc-shooting for a forward! (her numbers improved each year there) Assist/Turnovers needs improvement. Looks like a big body (which we desperately need). Great get!

Just did a cursory look at her stats. Thanks to kiyoat for being on top of things (as always). Four-year player, two-year starter. Looks like someone who has improved every year. Just saw a couple highlights and she does look like a physical player, and while she can shoot the three, I wouldn't expect much volume there. She shot a career-high 40 last year.
She doesn't appear to offer much in the way of rim protection (only 23 career blocks). So I would only expect Kayla to use her as a "5" in small-ball lineups (if at all). So I think you have to wonder what this means for Hansen, Hempe, and Carson.
As kiyoat said, this doesn't prevent them from signing another player for the 2024 class, but this does max out the 2023 roster at 15, barring someone leaving of course.

Seems like a nice addition.
DePerry was a three sport athlete in high school. Basketball, Volleyball, and track & field. Team MVP in track & field as a senior.

Getting a player that's a former starter with a lot of experience is great!! Practice and game competition is a plus and depth!!

Have there been any announcements of who is transferring out yet?

Just saw we added Tori DePerry out of Saginaw St. Don't know much about her, but she's a thousand point scorer and first team conference kid. Seems like a nice addition to the guard group to take some pressure off of Grace.

Here is a highlight reel of Tori. Seems like she can run the floor well.

Mariah McKeever, Madison's younger sister, has entered the portal as a grad transfer with one year of eligibility remaining. She's had a nice career at MSU-Moorhead. I don't know if she's D-1 material or not, but if so, it'll be interesting to see where she lands. Maybe join her sister for a year at St. Thomas?

Tori appears to be very quick and an attacker around the basket. Also seems to have good BB instincts!

Madison easily falls in my category of favorite Coyote women's players over the years.

Tori appears to be very quick and an attacker around the basket. Also seems to have good BB instincts! Definitely! I think that this gives us some versatility in line-up, too. When Kayla wants us to "go big" you might see Duffney at the 3, DePerry at the 4, Mazurek/Demers at the 5. All three spots with physical players that like to attack the rim. If the interior passing is on-point that could lead to a lot of paint scoring. I could also see DePerry playing the 5 in a 4-out smaller set. Her size is kind-of a missing piece between our centers and tall guards/wings.

this was a weakness on the team last year with injuries and Watson leaving. Good job coaches

Alaina Harper, a 6'3" forward from Wisconsin, is in the portal after one year at Grand Canyon. Notable given our need for size and Kayla's ties to Wisconsin.
She averaged 5.1 ppg and 2.2 rpg in limited minutes at Grand Canyon as a freshman.
Averaged 17.1 ppg, 12.1 rpg, and 2.0 bpg as a HS senior and was named Wisconsin post player of the year.
Can't find her on Twitter so no idea if our coaches have shown interest.
Just random off-season speculation. Do we even have a scholarship available currently?
