Good point elcoyote! They start a lot of seniors we start 2 seniors on O and 3 on D. It does make a difference and bodes well for our future! We just need to play focused, smart and hard the rest of the way!!
Excited to have my ND tickets for family and grandkids!!
Also tickets for VB vs NDSU that evening!!

100% agree. We have very talented kids and the future is bright. Just got to get better up front with weight room. Just saw the targeting call on replay. That was AWFUL and totally against the reason why the rule is in place. Head drops to throw the shoulder in and the WRs angle changes after the catch and glances off the defenders helmet. BS

3 drive killing drops in the first half. We weren't going to win anyway, but those certainly were killers.

Jacks are good, no doubt about it, but they're also fortunate to have so many players utilizing their extra covid season. I counted 30+ seniors on their roster, many/most of whom play major snaps, while USD only has 6 seniors listed. What that portends for the future I have no idea. Reminds me of our women's hoops team a few years back when we had the "big 3" all opt in for their extra season and rode that to the Sweet 16. This covid extras has to be running out one of these years I would think. I'm too lazy to do that math. 35 seniors to our 5 or 6?

I want to compliment our men for not engaging with the big D in the 50 yd line suite. The Big D decided to thump his chest, point at his bunny shirt and talk smack to our players after the game. Our players gave him a stare and kept their mouth shut, the true definition of class. When you lose, say little...when you win, say nothing.

I was curious and had 32 for SDSU and 6 for USD.

This is literally their best team ever, and have a ton of 5th or 6th year seniors trying to make a repeat run to Frisco. Good for them (I mean that). We are at least a year ahead of schedule, with hardly any seniors. Let's enjoy the run and the fact that if we can find 2 wins in the next 3 games, we will not only be in the playoffs, but have a legit shot at a home game or a seed. No one expected that 6 weeks ago - let's enjoy a surprising season instead of comparing ourselves to SDSU's all-time best.

Hopefully this helps the players re-focus for a very tough road trip next week rather than feeling themselves all week and pulling a UND @ UNI after beating NDSU.

We are very good, the bunnies are a great team. To beat that team we'd need a near perfect game and for them to stub their toe a couple times. Still proud of the effort and attitude of the Yotes. never gave in and thats shows the change in our culture from seasons prior. Get them again in the playoffs and anything can happen.
Dust ourselves off and go get a big one on the road next Saturday.

I don't think any of us honestly thought we would win going toe to toe with state. If we win out we can legitimately say we are in the top half of the conference. I think we would call that a success at this point. I for one would be ecstatic if we could do that year and and year out. The jump to that next tier is an even bigger one that can only be accomplished through recruiting and could take a decade.

I think we're a good team, but you could tell after halftime that we were deflated and beaten. I would reference a lot of the missed arm tackles. A team that is still playing to win will stick their noses in and make a play, the Yotes didn't do that in the second half. That were ready for it to be over. I don't blame them, I guess. I was too.

Montana State lost tonight, too. Makes me sick. Regroup and head to S. Illinois.

I want to deride our athletic department for allowing blue in the suites. What a joke.
