Looks like a great match up for us….they have a nice team. Clearly our strength is our defense and as long we can contain the QB I really think we will be fine defensively. Offensively, I think Bouman is the key. Just manage the game and hopefully Davis gets him settled in quickly. Don’t turn the ball over and establish the run. Sounds easy to me😅

I'm glad we're playing Sac State, not because I think they're inferior, but because it'll be someone that we've never played before. I mean we just played UND a few weeks ago, not to mention it is tough to beat someone twice in the same season. This is a national tournament and it's nice to see teams from different parts of the country instead of the same, familiar faces. Should be a great game.

I worked/watched the Sac St/UND game. It is that time of year, of course, but I think Sac St had a few injuries in the secondary, and maybe a LB? And they weren't really locked-down prior to the injuries. My guess is Coach Davis is licking his chops, and USD will score. Just need to slow down their QB a bit. Not sure this is a team that is comfortable playing a game with both teams in the 30s or 40s.

UND made adjustments on defense at halftime that helped tremendously, but the damage had already been done. They walked into this game with no idea how to contain that QB. We need to have a plan in place for that guy from the start. Do that and I'm sure this one is a W given how poor their defense seems.
It's very nice that our team was able to sit and watch this whole game together. Also, seeing Sac State in action against a recent opponent has got to be helpful.

Looks like we should be able to run the ball.

Looks like we should be able to run the ball. Yeah, I could see us shortening up the game that way, too. Much lower point total than that last shootout.

UND's LB don't run well. Mogenson and Hillis do. Bennett will have a hard time getting outside on them. Our down linemen will put pressure on him in a hurry, our DB's will have 2 picks

Excited about this matchup. We need to do our job to pack the dome and bring the energy to get our boys fired up from the start. A couple good punches in the mouth early and I think we can take this one without too much of a rise in my heart rate.

Some early computer predictions:
Yotes beat Hornets 24-20 (-4) Sagarin Regular method Yotes beat Hornets .........(-6) Sagarin EIGENVECTOR method Yotes beat Hornets 24-21 (-3) Massey Yotes beat Hornets 27-24 (-3) Warren Nolan RP method
I have to think the Vegas line will be more favorable for the Yotes. I'd take the points all day long on these lines (I don't gamble tho)

It’s playoff football. Period. A whole nother animal.
There will be highs. There will be lows. Momentum will be huge.
The Dome is not known historically to be raucous. It can be. It should be. If it is, that would be a HUGE factor in getting a W
Very simply put and not to be the master of cliches….but it truly is one game at a time.
We have a young team but a VERY mature locker room. These guys know what’s in front of them. No side bars just tough physical football
Play with a ton of energy

Does anyone know what is going on with the ticket situation for this game? Tickets went on sale to the public last week Wednesday, but now suddenly there are WAY more tickets available today and they are really good seats. I am seeing seats availaable in the first 5 rows in between the 40s.

Talk about being a little over confident and overlooking an extremely dangerous QB. That dude can play and is wayyyy more athletic than any LB or DL we have, if he gets an edge he is gone for chunks. Running the ball will not be a cake walk by any stretch. Yes, our backs will be able to get some explosive runs I’m quite confident, but our play-action game will be paramount for our offense to move the ball consistently. 3rd down defense and offense will be the absolutely huge along with who can create turnovers. Gonna be a very tough one I’m sure.

I am seeing seats availaable in the first 5 rows in between the 40s. My guess is the public date for season ticket holders to renew was fake, and the athletic department has ended their campaign to get those ticket holders to buy their seats. It is a very confusing deal with tickets near the field. I feel like I have great seats, I am a season ticket holder for 10 years, but every week I am surrounded by empty seats or people deciding to occupy them. No idea who is buying these seats to attend approximately 0 games. Maybe they belong to sponsors?
