Unrelated to WNIT, but will Watson guard Clark tonight? Not sure how WVU uses Watson on defense.

Watching that game currently too. Wondered the same if Kyah would guard her. Doesn’t appear that she is assigned to Caitlyn.

Watched the game as well. I thought Watson showed out well, what a difference maker she would be on our squad! There was some serious home cooking in the 4th quarter of that game!

Not sure if everyone knows, but she went to RC Stevens here in Rapid City, as did Becky Hammon. She broke Hammon's assit record at Stevens.
Two pretty good players!

Watson's mother, Carla Allard, was one of the all time great high school players from SD. I barely recognized Kyah. She's slimmed down so much. I think she played a great game. Iowa was lucky to pull that one out.

I literally was just told this story right before Jay posted it. This speaks volumes of why I support Coyote athletics. If you sit back and think about it, the only sport we can win a National Championship in is football. It’s because we have our own division in which we compete. Other team sports we go against schools with budgets that are exponentially greater than we’ll ever be. So why do we field athletic teams when we literally have zero chance to win it all other than football? One answer is for regional bragging rights. We want to beat our rivals. The other is conference championships. Order the rings. But this story tells me we are supporting something bigger than that. We’re supporting the development of young women and men to come to USD a wide eyed freshman and leave USD ready to make the world a better place. It doesn’t always work out that way as we know, but when it does I can honestly say I lean back and say “damn, we made a difference”. What these girls did was remarkable supporting the Holmes family and in particular, their teammate. During the season we all question why they did this or that, but I’m guessing no one’s going to question why they made this trip and the reflection it has on the program. If these are the kind of young ladies and men were kicking out, I’m proud as hell. Congratulations USD womens basketball for doing the right thing. You’re winners

Didn't look good in three first half. Outhustled and outrebounded 29-17. Zero points from the bench. We miss Holmes badly.

Much better second half. Grace was spectacular tonight. Good win for the ladies. This NAU team isn't bad.

I have missed each of these games due to prior commitments, but followed along some. Looks like they played a terrific final 15 minutes last night. Wyoming will be a tough task on the road, but the Yotes are only about 5-point underdogs. I'd love to see them pull it off, considering who the next opponent might be. 👀
