So far the early offers from the new coach are all for Nebraska girls with good size (RLG, Dolliver, Medeck). I like the renewed focus on Nebraska, which we also recruit heavily in Volleyball! Many of these girls play both sports.
Not that we need to abandon Minnesota, Iowa or SD or anything (or even Wisconsin). Based on twitter follows Coach E has recruited basically a similar region to USD (and many of the same girls) for a long time. I'd wager she and her husband have a lot of HS and club contacts that will pay immediate dividends for Yote WBB.

We've gotten a lot of great players out of Nebraska, hopefully we can continue that trend while remaining strong in Iowa and Minnesota. I think Coach E's longevity in this region is a big plus for us. Sure she comes from Idaho, but she was a Nebraska and midwestern player and coach for many years before that short stint. Her past footprint fits us perfectly. Extremely excited to see what this next year holds for us. I feel like we're going ot se the kind of Coyote basketball we're used to seeing. Great defense, toughness, and a culture of winning.

Great stuff! Big relief to see the re-commitment to the new staff.
This might further confirm that Monahan is gone, but I feel pretty good about who is all coming back. The program has had enough success for long enough that it is a selling point, I think. Coach E probably has been working the phones hard, too (I would assume).

I hope the roster has not been updated because it still shows all the assistant coaches from last year.

I hope the roster has not been updated because it still shows all the assistant coaches from last year. I’d be surprised if it showed any staff changes before they were officially announced! Notice that her husband Devin is not on the list yet. Honestly I’m surprised Kayla hasn’t taken any assistants with her yet. We have heard that she tried to get Mike, but haven’t heard about the others, so either she didn’t ask or they declined too. Think of it this way: getting commitments from players and recruits before you start evaluating staff is pretty smart, don’t you agree?

My guess is she has a good idea of who her staff is, but there is no need to announce it until everything is complete. That's the way these things work.
I know Gabby is going elsewhere (not GB).
I'm sure Carrie will be asked about this in her press conference.

Being a package deal with her husband certainly makes for an interesting, unique scenario. I have no idea of what role he plays and how that would coincide with Mike’s strengths and the staff dynamic Coach Eighmey wants to craft. Ultimately, we hired her, because we trust her more than any other candidate and need to accept and support whatever she chooses to do.

Everything I hear about them sounds like they're a hell of a coaching team that the U is fortunate to have. I would still love to see a spot for Jewett on the staff as I think he's proven himself repeatedly to be a definite asset. Plus, I just don't think it ever hurts to have somebody around who has been in your archrival's locker room and knows exactly what they're doing.

Maybe too relentless for some, but nobody is going to out work him from what I hear.

And Mike is more of a X’s & O’s and player development type coach right?

I am fairly certain that Mike Jewett has declined to stay on board with the new staff.
